Of course I will be with the new coach, as any reasonable fan should. Love or hate the hire, they aren't going anywhere for four years.

Where did they say they wouldn't pay a head coach $2 mill? I just assumed they didn't want to pay that head coach $2 mill. Thing is $2 mill ain't that much any more.

The only thing that is being speculated is that SJU refused to pay Lavin $2 million. They (and the big-money donors) may very well be willing to pay someone else that amount.
 
Pay cut to get next coach to work for less.!!! They better get some coach cheap since my money will remain in my pocket after donating annually for over past 50 plus year despite the fact that I live in Savannah, Ga. & get no benefit except satisfaction, if we have a good season. 2NIT's & 2 NCAA's not enough. What a joke.

Yes. I just don't know if Danny will have the same instant recruiting success. I have no reservations about Bobby in that area and I think both are good x's and o's guys--edge to Danny there for the experience.

It'd be like if Ralphie got a good BB gun but not the Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle.

Masiello said on Michael Kay Show that St. John's one of the best college bb jobs in the country. Asked if SJU called. He replied that he is coach of Manhattan.

Hey maybe we should re-hire Jarvis. He seems to be the only coach who can beat Calipari. Check their head to head record.
 
This is exciting!

There are a number of excellent candidates out there, all of whom are smarter basketball minds than Steve Lavin.

Nothing is ever smooth with SJU, but we're on the right track.
I'm much more enthusiastic about the program's outlook than I was a week ago before we played our NCAA game.

Not Good. We didn't come this far to go with guy who is going to learn on the job. Love Mullin, but he has never coached a game in his life.
