well at least you can root for him and it won't affect the outcome of the game at this point alreadyI'm at a nihilist point where I find myself naturally rooting for deGrom to do well.

The Mets and Stearns built a team on a bunch of high risk pitching prayers that have blown up in our face. I am not talking about the younger pitchers. We gambled with the likes of a not so durable Senga, a relief pitcher turned Starter in Holmes, a one year pitching over his head returning to earth in Manaea and the up and down career of David Peterson. This worked in 2024 but 2025 has been an abject failure.I guess 2 AAA starts wasn’t enough. Who would’ve guessed? Stearns has been a huge failure in my eyes.
Almost laughable these sad sacks of sh&$ at the game were standing clapping trying to get this kid going. Don’t you realize we’ve been watching the worst baseball out there for 3 months running. We should have bags over our heads at this stage!
Juan Soto will finish the season with more than 40 homers, more than 30 stolen bases, more than 100 RBIs, more than 100 runs scored and more than 100 walks.
How many players in MLB history have compiled such a single-season stat line? Exactly two -- Barry Bonds in 1996 and 1997 and Jeff Bagwell in 1997 and 1999.
Begs the question…is anyone Managing this team?First and second no one out and Baty gets picked off second. Second time in a week he had gotten picked off in a big spot.
Holy crap! The Looper!Timmy Lupus of the Bad News Bears makes more contact than Jose Siri. 7 of 9 plate appearances this stiff has whiffed. How can anyone justify him playing?
