From an athleticism standpoint I was thinking that Arkansas reminds me of a better version of Baylor or Georgia - and we lost both of those games.

I was thinking that as well. But the offsetting factor is we are also shorthanded now compared to them. It's going to be an interesting game.

Forget their record, this Arkansas team is the best team we will play all year.
They have size, athleticism and one of the best backcourts in college basketball.
We will have to play a perfect game and not begin slow or our ride will be short circuited.

Disagree. We have the better team. Arkansas length worries me but they don’t shoot well and turn the ball over which feeds into our strength. We must start better and play a good all around game but we need a perfect game to beat a Florida or Duke not Arkansas.

A 10 seed in the ncaa tourney is not even in the top 5 of the best teams we have played this year.

Agree this area is a dump. Bad sight lines. Looks and feels like an old armory. Jammed too many seats in. Height of each row smaller than normal. Watching game between heads in row in front. Concession stands third world. Plenty of beer. Not much else. Worst hotdog ever and I have been to fifty plus arenas, ball parks and stadiums. Bubba must get a bonus whenever NCAA plays a game here.

Just watching the Pitino press conference. Pitino handled it just fine but the whole Calipari thing is expected but tedious. He was literally asked about when he recommended Calipari for UMASS. Nothing new. 30 or 40 years in the past. They barely talked about the game. Wow, Rick why did you recommend Cal! Who gives a rats ass. The “media” is a joke. If there was something NEW I get it but holy crap. I care about Arkansas vs St. John’s. Let it go!

Interesting comments throughout . Nolan Richardson is not coming through those doors . Neither are his Players , Thurman , Corliss , etc .
There will not be 40 minutes of hell .

Doubt that CMA will be in the stands , locker room or , Courtside .

The idea that Arkansas is some super team is false . They are a good team that finished in their league with a losing record .

I didn’t look it up but , they likely picked up wins against SCarolina and LSU , the 2 worst teams in the SEC .
Arkansas only won 8 games in the league . Lost 10 .



The SEC has already lost Vandy , Texas , Miss State , Georgia , etc in the Tourney .
Alabama was lucky to beat Robt Morris , 90 to 81 .

The BE has won 4 NCAA titles in the last 10 years . Villanova and UCONN 2 each . The SEC ?

Teams with losing league records should not be in the Tournament . Regardless of their KenPom metrics . Statistics are a unworthy measurement . Concocted by some algorithm nerd
Wins and losses are still the critical determinant .

Calipari Vs Pitino ?

Cal has lost more games , despite having the best talent than any other Coach in College BB .

Pitino , on the other hand , doesn’t need the best talent on paper to win.

Barkley , said exactly that yesterday on TV.
“ Tom Izzo and Rick Pitino are the 2 best Coaches left in this tournament . Why ? Because they can win , without having the best talent.”
They have proven that , time and again “

Our new friend in Arkansas , laments poor Education in his State and that is truly a obstacle for the Children of Arkansas but , NYState spends more per child than any other State and still has one of the worst Public Schools Academic results in the Country .
