If you're a reporter on something like this gang bang, you're compelled to come up with several angles. We know all we'll know about Arkansas vs St John's. You and I pretty much know the rivalry crap is BS...but it's another angle. 25 years since this and 40 years since that...another angle. It's tiresome, for sure. A better angle would be to ask Pitino how was the veal in the restaurant where he banged his assistant coach's wife to be...but I don't see anyone going there. Enjoy the game.
An aside: Arkansas is just the kind of team that's traditionally ended our tournament hopes year after year, so I'm nervous. Hopeful but nervous.
 
For the superstitious ones up here I'm going following the same exact routine as thursday and I'm even going for the same exact walk so if anyone sees a tall guy in red pajamas and st johns sweat shirt and hat and red sneakers it's not a mob boss trying to throw off the feds that's he's crazy it's just mjmaherjr who is doing his same exact walk as he did thursday morning
 
They think we are so unathletic…can’t wait until they see Deivon check in the first time.

He’s going to make Mookie look like Geno Lawrence.
 
They should beat Arkansas. The only fear for me is fouls as it will continue to be throughout however long St John’s survives in this tournament. Only because if they run into a whistle happy crew & our top guys aren’t available as the game goes on despite how messy and inconsistent Arkansas can be, they do have athletes and length and raw talent. I have a very high level of confidence in the preparation of this staff and team though so I’m expecting a win.

This has been such a great season and memorable team. More than deserving of a Sweet 16 so hopefully they come through like they usually do. Also great job to all of you guys who make the trip to be there supporting in person. The energy comes though the tv & it’s a big advantage.

The only one that concerns me is Zuby and he’s been prolific in that area. Adou doesn’t present the same fouling threat Dickinson did.
 
We are going to force enough misses like we have all year. How many of those misses are we gonna make sure we rebound is the biggest question today. Omaha hurt us on the glass, Arkansas could kill us there if we aren’t careful.

I think that rebounding performance was a blessing. We are still going to get hurt on the defensive rebounding, but now maybe we can make it more competitive. Control the glass and win. It’s that simple. That is their only path to winning.

Thursday I didn't go to the early game because I was so nervous and needed to walk off the adrenaline also. Walked 2 miles. Will be doing that again later too
