And in the battle of the ex BE coach Steve color men Lavin is so much better to listen to than Lappas.
Well your boy just made a fau paux (sic) calling a "gorilla dunk". Tennis announcer got fired for calling one of the Williams sisters for using gorilla tactics (which is actually a tennis term used for rushing the net from what I read).

To make ESPNs reaction even more nonsensical, the tennis term is a guerilla tactic not gorilla. Did not prevent the leftist politically correct Disney company from taking completely inappropriate action though.

in this situation, unlike most others, I agree with you on the ridiculousness of this situation. Very poorly handled. Adler is suing ESPN for wrongful termination.

I actually think Lavin is pretty good except when someone mentions St Johns and he gets this goofy half smile and his eyes dart back and forth. But I don't hate Lappas either.
Phx Suns have a dunking gorilla so pretty hard to call that one out. I doubt Lavin was making an Urban Dictionary reference which just sounds really painful anyway.

on the radio, at least, PJ Carlissimo is THE best color/analyst, by far.

Jim Sparnakle is very good too.

Pete Gillen reminds me of Al McGuire, pretty funny.

Raf is Raf, leaving the lingerie, Onions and all, I'll take him because he likes Looie and St. John's.

So, I just looked up gorilla dunk in the Urban Dictionary. Safe to say, Lappas wasn't quite using it in that context!

LOL. !!!

Chris Holtmann

Per Rothstein
Six of Butler's 11 scholarship players had yet to play a single minute in the Big East before the season. The Chris Holtmann factor.

2 Sweet 16 teams. Don't think the new Big East has done that yet.

Take it. Personally I'd rather Butler and Xavier in the Sweet 16 than Nova.

Just to keep things straight it was Lavin.

If UVA loses (down 14 at the half), then the ACC will have 0 teams in the next round with 3 more shots tomorrow.

All said and done, we could've done better than 2 into the third round, but it's certainly respectable. Just seems like a big deal with Nova out, but personally I want to see another team make a run. Don't want our league becoming a one trick pony

They're all better than Puff the Magic Dragon Bill Walton. ;)

Like millions of Americans, I am binge watching college basketball and loving every minute of it. One common thread I see from successful teams is no hero ball. I see great ball movement and players being active without the ball. I do like Ahmed, but you just don't see many guys playing like that on Sweet 16 teams.

Was thinking along same lines. Like Ahmed and not criticizing him by why does it seem he is our only player that never seems to get the ball on the move. He gets it on the perimeter, goes iso and either drives or shoots a long jumper.Would love to see him as part of the motion offense more and receive the ball on the move where he can use his athleticism even more.

And you have to have a balanced team. Defense only won't win it. See Virginia.
