NCAA Tournament

disappointing game in that it wasn't competitive and Timmes Sanogo was a NO GO.

good thing for us is Hawkins will turn pro (and maybe Sanogo)

Calcaterra gave them good minutes

One in and one to go tomorrow for Big East!

Congratulations to Danny Hurley and our arch nemesis for making the final four. I’m happy about Coach Pitino , but like most Redmen fans I live in the past.

What could have been?

I said this after the game in late February at MSG in which the Huskies blew us out and ruined Sean “the Mullet” Muto day .

The Mullin experiment failed.

The BOT went out of their way to piss off Mike Repole and empower the revered Joe Olivia.

How did that work out?

Repole was right and Olivia was wrong. Karma is a bitch Joe.

Happy to see Mike Repole back in the fold looking forward to next season.

I live in the state, I hate their fans majority bandwagon ass clowns. I like Danny, this is tough. I would be rooting for Creighton tmrw if my cousin had not played at State. Also Dutcher is a great guy. Miami or Texas better shot to murder Jonathan the Husky?

They aren't very good and are lucky to have gotten this far. Guard play on offense is weak, they were 72nd in Defensive Efficiency (no one has made a final four that low, I believe) and are a one man offense. The problem for them is they are the best offensive team but UConn is third so they have a slight advantage, but UConn has a big one on D. UConn was going to win this game by 15 even if Timme didn't have foul trouble.
1st but being in the wcc helps that. They wouldn't be 1st if their affiliation was with the big east. I agree with your general thoughts though.

I can't stand UCONN, but Dan Hurley is a fine coach, and recruited and developed an excellent team.
I'll grumble in my Vino about bad breaks and the past, but the future now looks bright for our beloved Johnnies with Coach Pitino leading the way

So, Congrats to UCONN and Dan Hurley for making it through this Tournament's
multiple potholes and snags and achieving this milestone.

I do hope St. John's makes it into the Final Four again, and soon.

Yes, Dan Hurley is a good coach and I despise him as much as I do the entire Uconn program.
I was pulling for them to be beaten in their first game of the tournament and they will never again be a respected Big East program after they prostituted themselves to other major conferences before sheeplessly returning to the Big East.
It was a shonda to bring them back. I turned their picture against the wall and spit on it years ago.
That's the nicest thing I could say.
Sorry.

As much as it pains some here to admit Val Ackerman made a good decision for the conference by bringing UConn in.

With the tv deal renegotiations incoming it’s important that we showcase how good this conference can be with possibly being the only conference to have two teams in the final four
