Good call. Fr. Shanley gave Cragg flash cards with the names of the top 50 programs in the country and a matching game board.
Then he ordered Cragg to put together a schedule with an edict that 75 percent of the out of conference opponents are on that list.
When we were relevant, there was.
I remember a Daily News or Newsday photo of Mahoney on the day he was let go walking into Alumni Hall for the last time to clean out the office.
I'm sure it would have been a great game anyway, but both teams looked a little extra motivated knowing that it was FDU next, and not Purdue.
Of course, if FDU can beat Purdue, they can certainly beat Florida Atlantic.

Yes , agree put Dusty May on the Hot Coaches list , especially if they beat FDU and get to the Sweet 16 . Of course , the FDU Coach will get on that list too, if he gets the Knights to the Sweet 16 as well . There is some what of a precedent for these suddenly hot Coaches to get hired right away after their upset wins . They are usually approached by Schools who have already or plan to can their current Coach . And , it’s better for the Coaches to jump to a new job while they are hot , than stay where they are and risk losing that hot moment .

Tobe Awake getting very solid minutes for Tennesseeup front. I recall is discussing him a great deal last spring. Nice to see the local kid doing well.
