NCAA Tournament

Sounds like you may be up for the next 72 hours at least. Maybe 96 as guessing deal finalized Monday announced Tuesday to make it official.
There will be no annoucement while NCAA games are being played. Expect it next Monday Tuesday or Wednesday.

Why do brackets always seem to break Duke's way?
I believe it is no accident. The committee loves to set them up. They have been doing it for years.

Look at the top four in their region: Purdue, Marquette, Kansas State and Tennessee and compare them to the top four in the West: Kansas, UCLA, Gonzaga and UConn. Duke would have had a significantly harder time getting through the West. If you look at some of the betting favorites to win it all before the tournament started, you would not find Kansas State or Tennessee among those teams. Also if you thought Purdue had a chance, then you have not been watching this tournament over the years. As for Marquette they have had an incredible year, but I don't think they are likely to win it all either. The top four teams in the West however, all are live contenders for the National Championship.

I never got the Committee's love for Duke, but I am sure TV ratings play a factor in this.

I always get a kick out of checking in with other teams boards to put our Redmen misery in perspective. Some real life lessons in that process and fascinating to compare different contexts. As you may imagine, Purdue fans are having a rough time today. Here is a sample, after their team has spent much of the past two seasons as #1 in the country:

I never would have imagined 1 game having this impact, but I think this one loss is a lethal blow to our program. We are the embarrassment of college basketball and will never overcome until we make deep run. Regular season champ or not, we just fell levels below iu for recruiting. Painter is going to be even more a national joke. We will get fewer high profile matchups and holiday tournament invites, we will always be brought up in negative light regardless of if we are undefeated through regular season.

This was pretty much domination by the worst team to ever make ncaa tournament. It is worse than every other upset we have ever had combined.

I think this will absolutely impact recruiting and transfers. The ripples from this loss will resonate for a long long time

Is Mike Zaun now a Purdue fan?

Any coach who has been hired (Lavin and Anderson) have usually been brought to campus for a meeting in the Presidents office as well as a quick in and out tour of Carnesecca and Taffner, and it’s been done during the evening so not to attract attention.

Because the school does not want anyone to hear the first comment out of the new coach’s mouth “This room is nice, but where is the rest of it?”

If this was down in SEC country, they would have reporters all over Carnesecca and Taffner watching out for any new coach. Heck they’d even be outside Pitino’s house and at the Throgs Neck Bridge tolls watching for him
Zach has his drone that he got as bday present flying over Pitinos house. Hope the battery is fully charged
