I never saw An NCAA game that was so biased.Talked about UNC all game, Showed shots of their fans, never Novas, UNC tweets ,Williams on the sideline, never Wright. Even after the game instead of showing Nova rejoicing , showed UNC fans. That said. It made the victory that much sweeter. Congrats.to Nova,

Details, details. ... Seems like they've been around since Day 1. Doesn't put a damper on how I'm feeling.
 
All of the Philly stations have preempted programs to show the celebration on the Nova campus. It's like every living alum has returned to party.
One day, I hope to return to Union Turnpike and Utopia Parkway. It will be a multi day party!
 
Big win for the Big East.

Jay Wright confirmed the fact he is an elite coach with solid game plans throughout the NCAA tourney, dictating tempo.

I like Wright's several quotes to the effect that "the Big East is a basketball league; just a basketball league. We don't play football".

I ended up switching to TruTV to watch the game with Villanova announcers. So much more enjoyable. Even Raftery was leaning UNC. It was annoying.

It underlines the toughness of the Big East over the years that a top program like Nova has won just two Big East titles while also winning two national titles.
 
I am impressed with how much Ochefu has improved. When he first arrived at Villanova, the guy could barely run and chew gum at the same time.

He has develop a nice post move (that across the lane one-hander) and is a very good passer.

He was a highly rated 4-star recruit (#44, per RSCI), so the potential was there.

The Big East is dead. Long live the Big East!

Great game. Only issue I had was Jay calling UNC a class program. And I would have liked for him to mention the Big East in the context of taking a swipe at the football schools, but that's not who he is.

You couldn't have drawn up a better play at the end, or scripted a more perfect ending. Hopefully those dirty cheaters get the hammer dropped on them, but sadly I doubt it.

Did you watch the game on TNT (which was the the UNC team specific broadcast with their "homer" announcers) or TBS which was the "regular" broadcast with their "A" team announcers? TRU had the Nova team specific broadcast with their 'homer" announcers.
 
........ last night was much like the movie when Jimmy Chitwood hit the last shot for the win..... great game.
 
How ironic! Villanova had the best season in the history of the program, and we had the worst! I wonder if I will ever see a national championship in my lifetime. At 65 years of age I have my doubts. But who knows! So often you win it all when you don't expect it!

Nice sharing RC...
2015-16 season as expected stunk...couldn't have been worse
HOWEVER
There's reason to stay optimistic - we are already moving in the right direction...there will be better seasons ahead - even the most pessimistic posters likely agree to this...
AND
15 wins and a better more capable team is on our 2016-17 doorstep
AND
as to 20 win seasons, top 20 rankings, NCAA wins - why not circa 2017-18
With time and patience we can be there Nova, Xavier, Gonzaga
all the best
 
I am not so sure Sherman. For a program with our history and longevity to not have ever won a national championship is an anomaly. Our best chance was in 84 when we had 4 first round draft picks on that team and who wins it Nova who we beat 3 times that year! Maddening! I guess the answer is that we have not been to the watering hole nearly enough in order to increase our opportunities!
