NCAA Tournament Thread

Not a great look being the only 1/2 seed not to make the Elite 8, but I would've been a lot more annoyed had it been an easier path this year.

Before the Tournament started I figured we would've lost to Florida today, so I'm glad UConn didn't upset them because otherwise that would've been a tough pill to swallow.

We would've had to beat Calipari, #3 Texas Tech, #1 Florida, and then likely two more #1 seeds, or at best #2s. Would arguably be the toughest path to a championship ever.

Night and day to the path UConn had last year where they beat #16, #9, #5, #3, #4, #1. Don't get me wrong, it sucks the way the season ended, but even in an alternative timeline where we beat Arkansas it would've been difficult to go much further.

Reasonable folks can disagree on this point. All I can say that in watching the game with my buddy BJR I was not the least bit surprised when Pitino did what he did. Doesn't mean it was right, but is an indication it wasn't shocking - been watching the Johnnies religiously for 60 plus years.
So down the rabbit hole, all you guys who were so happy to see Luis benched, what exactly was your Plan B with Richmond and Luis not playing? Because to me Pitino had none, because there was none, hence the inevitable result. But I would be very interested to know all your thoughts.
Also I would be equally interested in how many times in your 60 years of following the Johnnies and CBB in general, have you heard an announcer say, “maybe those foul shots will get him started”, and actually see it happen. That’s certainly what I was hoping would happen, shocked when he never went back in, but not so much when Pitino made a complete fool of himself in the press conference throwing a class kid who he rode all year under the bus to deflect away from his coaching blunders.

What's up with this player Federiko Federiko on Texas tech ? I have to root for TT in the sweet 16 takeover pool that I'm in and that name freaks me out freaks me out
A reason not to 😇

The St. John’s basketball program immediately responded to the Franck Kepnang news on Saturday by handing out offers to two big men: Class of 2021 forward Mustapha Amzil and Class of 2022 seven-footer Federiko Federiko.

Gators up 3 at half v Texas Tech, but I expect UF to pull away in second half and move on. My pool choice to win it all of course. 🤞

Texas Text really strong on the boards. Luis and Kadary a big part our rebounding. Hope we can get some relentless guys like TT.

Not going to defy our Mods on ending these arguments. All I will say is agree Coach could have handled the press conference better. The idea that there is only one way of looking at this issue or any issue doesn’t make sense to me.
