NCAA Tournament seeding

We have a chance with teams in front of us losing multiple games. Accept that!!!
The teams in front of us have high level games left. If they lose one it won’t hurt their metrics. We are not getting a 1 seed. I think the highest we get is the first 3 seed.

Prob not auburn and duke. But we can def pass those other teams if that get multiple losses down the stretch here.

And as you saw w/ florida tonight, that is very possible.

Keep the faulith buddy. Still a long ways to go.
Alabama hanging 111 on a ranked team put a nail in that coffin.

The selection committee hates the Big East this year and our resume isn’t the strongest compared to the other teams at the top. So I think they will end up a 2 or 3 seed even if they win out. I’m fine with either just want to avoid being the 4 seed and the top of the bracket.

The selection committee hates private schools - sans Duke.

It's all about the money and propping up the SEC, SEC, SEC.

They will stop at nothing to promote the conference. It's done every single year in football, and now it has made its way to hoops. Expect more of this, and the biases to prevail.

Best case scenario for sports fans is for ESPN to go bankrupt.

Butler has a couple of decent scorers in Brooks and Telfort, and a couple of guys who can hit 3s if left open in McCaffrey and Bizjack. But they are a poor defensive team. And I suspect our defense will frustrate them. We are not the same team they played earlier in the Big East season.

Oh, and Butler is 0-8 against the top 6 teams in the Big East so far this year.

Even if those teams take multiple Ls, we don’t have enough (or any) opportunities to collect additional top 10-15 wins. 2 seed if we win out.

Bama's last 3 games are all against top 5 teams-Florida, Tennessee and Auburn ending a string of 7 straight ranked opponents.
just how we have seen that Conf Tourney outcomes dont play too-much of a factor (unless youre a bid-stealer)- i think the committee is fairly locked in on teams prior to....

think the Top 6 seeds for the Tourney will be a mix of Auburn/Duke/Bama/Fla/Tenn/Houston.... no matter how the reg season shakes out...

So there are 2 #2 seeds up for grabs... and We only get one of em if we win out.

So essentially we all need to be rooting against teams like Michigan State, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Wisconsin, Texas A&M

Michigan state should not be a higher seed than us. Their resume does not stand out to me as being a 2 seed over us at this point.

I get the argument. Our SOS is the weakest of these three. Big East has really killed us this year, frankly. Each of these teams have had consistent Q1 and Q2 opportunities throughout their conference play. We've had to manage landmines all of January and still have to play a Q3 & a Q4 game.

Mich State has had two Q3 conference games & only Q1 games remaining.
Iowa State had four Q3 conference games and two Q1/one Q2 remaining
Kentucky had one Q3 conference game and three Q1/one Q3 remaining.

We had six Q3 conference games. Butler is a borderline Q3/Q2 game, and Seton Hall is Q4...

This is a good sample.

Am I reading this correctly?

This is a good sample.

Am I reading this correctly? Lunardi has St. John's as the top rated 4 seed and yet he has us going out West. The bracket regions should be St. John's in the East, Arizona in the West and Michigan in the Midwest. In this scenario, Michigan St. would have to be moved to another region.

Pay no attention to that clown. The committee put us as a 4 seed the other week. Since then we've gone 3-0 including wins over Creighton and Uconn. Lunardi hasn't moved us an inch.

Yeah Lunardi sucks. He's rated 118 on bracketmatrix.

I just posted him because it is useful to see the schools that we're competing with for the 3/4 seeds (sorry MR, not a #1 seed). A #2 seed basically requires winning every game and then luck, so there's nothing to look at.

I think if we win out, and win the big east tournament we will definitley be a 2 seed

We win the big east regualr season title and make it to the BET finals I can't see how they won't put us in Providence.

Let's take care of Butler tonight first. Usually this would be a trap game , but with the number one defense in the country I can't see us losing.
