Well, before the superconferences took over in the late-2000s, you couldn't meet a conference opponent until the Elite Eight, and it was rare when that happened.Paultzman post=466151 said:Per Pete Thamel
North Carolina and Duke have met 257 times. They’ve combined for 258 NCAA Tournament wins. In a rivalry that stretches back a century, they’ve never played in the NCAA Tournament. Until Saturday.

I saw Aubrey Griffin play in the Federation Semifinals the year Ponds and Dunn won the State title with Jefferson. She was an unbelievable talent as a Freshman but has suffered numerous injuries and has not played this season. Hopefully she can return and be a big part of next year's team. AJ Griffin is a lottery pick at Duke who played at Stepinac as a Freshman with his brother, RJ Davis and Soriano at the same time a few years ago. That team won the state title as well I belief. That is a very talented family.

It's also only the second time that Duke and Carolina have both made the Final Four in the same year (1991 was the other - Duke, of course, beat us in the Elite Eight to get there).
Kinda makes me feel good about novaKansas is 13-of-19 from the field and 7-of-10 from 3
