NBA

Interesting. 12 of 75 international not NCAA, plus a few that might be international but played here.

None of these kids projected inside the Top 20 and only 5 projected between 20-30. We are going to have chaos when the majority of these kids withdraw and come back looking for team$
Only Boogie, Haggerty, Luis, Darrion Williams, and Jamir are in the portal and uncommitted. Cowherd and Yaxel are in the portal but already committed.

So it’ll really be eyes on four guys + a couple of Euros for last minute big adds.

I know the other day dk mentioned chaos if Self went for the Spurs job. We can also hope for the same with Golden being considered for the Suns job. He is from Phoenix and reading the GM wants a fresh voice and not an NBA retread. That would be interesting.

Todd Golden

One wildcard for the Suns to consider is Florida Gators head coach Todd Golden, who just won a national championship in the NCAA. Golden had a tremendously successful campaign in the men's college basketball season and could look to build on that by taking the next step to the NBA. Golden is originally from Phoenix, so his connection to Arizona could make him an especially intriguing candidate.

If the Suns were willing to give Golden the $10m per season that they were giving the guy they just fired, I imagine he'd strongly consider it.

What's the worst that happens? He flames out $40m richer and returns to college with great offers.

Now is the time, strike while the iron is hot coming off the title and get paid. And going home is the added bonus. Think he made 4 mil last year and he was negotiating with Florida for an extension, probably going to be around 6 mil like Hurley. And you are right, he will only be 40 so if it doesn’t work out, he comes back to college mid 40s and has the job of his choosing at big $$$.
