Not sure if I enjoy this back and forth or it’s like a car wreck you have to look at but here is my 2 cents
We are 19-7. 7-6 We have a great opportunity to real off 5 more wins to finish off the big east schedule. Yet let’s make up some negativity stuff to bring focus to.
72 you say the optimists are the ones that talk down players? The optimists I recall on here for the most part don’t get too down when we lose or really don’t trash the team when we lose. We might get a little more quiet after a loss. It’s the pessimists that line up after a loss. Unless I’m mistaken on who the optimists are. Maybe some will argue with the pessimists (as u and Marillac are arguing) or as some like to call themselves the realists. We will find out within the next 1-2 months who the realists are. If we don’t go as far as I think we can and will I have no problem admitting I missed the mark on this team. Somehow I don’t think the pessimist/realists will do the same.
Bottom line is what is the point of always trying to find a negative when something good is happening and there is a chance something special can happen???
There are times I love this site and times I say why do I come here several times a day to get frustrated over what other “fans” have to say to diminish the good. I know it’s my choice to come or not to come. I get it. But man it can be so frustrating. I guess to each his own as far as glass half empty or half full and that’s what makes the world go round. But in a season of seriously good potential I really don’t get looking for and rehashing negatives. If heron and figgy didn’t come here..... if Zion barret and reddish don’t go to duke..... if Mullin berry etc didn’t come to St. John’s... come on. The fact is heron and figgy DID come here

Focusing in on a couple negatives is silly when we root for a program that has been giving us nothing but negatives for the better part of two whole decades.
For once we have some really good things going on here. Also, can we not pretend Heron coming here is like the biggest miracle since Jesus turned water to wine. Transfers are an epidemic in college sports as we know better than anyone. He received a hardship waiver which was known as a possibility since the day it was announced he was leaving auburn.
