Dee Barnes came in shooting 16% from 3 and today he is 4/4. Where is the perimeter defense?

Not only is this team the worst team in D1 but their main players are freshman and they’re smoking us.
 
Really bad attempt at lob that wasn't there by Figgy. We need to move the ball better on offense.

Playing lazy and stupid ball, as usual. I love deepening the bench and getting Greg Williams time. He looks good. He deserves more time and is real athletic.
 
Up 32-28. Ponds with only 2 shots thus far. Games like this I wish Ponds would just take over and put the game away early.
 
Time for bed. My prediction is we pull up to a 10pt lead by half time and then blow it open to 20+ early in the 2nd half

I don’t and Ponds is mature enough that he knows he can at any time. We need the rest of the team to get better and Ponds knows it too. I want to see a complete team effort going 8 deep at least...

Simon looking more comfortable last two games. 7 points and 6 assists already tonight.
 
Every game is the same.

1. Give up 3’s like it’s raining
2. The worse the opponent the less we care
3. Keep it close at half
4. Miss at least 10+ pts off missed layups/dunks
5. Win the game in very very sloppy fashion and explain why I’m crazy for suggesting we don’t have a coach. Our talent difference is the only thing bailing us out.

If we could defend as a team and hit the offensive boards, we’d be amazing...

Agree. Our coach is a “player’s coach”. He isn’t getting these guys fired up to play. He expects them to and they come out with zero urgency. Somebody has to teach them some urgency. It’s not talent at all.
 
Some people hate doing laundry. Some people hate to do the dishes. Some people hate to go food shopping. This team has 6 guys that hate simply hate, hate, hate to close out on shooters.
 
Totally embarrassing first half defensively!! Unacceptable!! We shoot 56% from the field with only 5 turnovers and we are only up by 5??? This team plays defense every first half of every game like they’re playing a scrimmage. It’s disgusting! If they do this in conference we are done. You watch schools like Michigan and Virginia and those kids challenge every pass and every shot from opening tip to the closing buzzer. I guess our think they’re too good for that.
