HOFer; second best SG of his generation joins coaching staff?

Going out on a limb and saying it deserves its own thread.

Star Power. Tim Hardaway next? lol. Can't say this staff doesn't know the NBA or what it takes to get there.

Besides being a HOFer; Richmond was also NBA Rookie of the Year.
Street cred with young recruits doesn't get any better than that.

Could we ask for a better staff ?
Absolutely not.
5 outstanding members , can't really believe it.
All I can say is buy season tickets now as there won't be any available in two years.

unbelievable! It's going to be pure pleasure watching this all unfold over the next few years. I don't think it happens overnight, but we are in for a sweet ride.

Great news. Rookie of the year, retired number by the Kings, MVP of an all star game, fifth pick in the draft, Olympic Gold Medalist.

Two thoughts, Cooley can't play the race card again :p and now we have two coaches who can beat the team in shooting contests. :)

Michael Jordan also said Richmond was his toughest matchup.

After Michael, he was the best SG of that generation. Better scorer than Dumars; much better slasher than Reggie, much better shooter than Drexler, who always played more like a SF.

Unfortunately his prime years were in the wasteland of Sacramento after what was one of the worst trades of that era: Richmond for Billy Owens.

Wow! Our little "mom and pop" program has been transformed over the past few months. Very exciting times ahead.

Love the "star power" of the staff, and not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but still would have preferred to have at least one guy on the bench with some HC experience.

While not all that successful, Slice was the head coach of Manhattan for four years.

Thanks, forgot about that. Guess that counts for something.
