Mike Rice Hot Water

Did this video happen before or after Rice's suspension? Either way, it's a black eye for ru, but it's even worse if this happened post suspension.

Why would anybody want to come and play for him?

I wonder what unstable individual Rutgers will hire next.

Danny Hurley is currently sane, but that job may make him crazy.
No joke, but as a player Danny took the pressure of playing way to hard. The experience was no fun for him at all, and that really is sad that he missed out on what was supposed to be a ton of fun. He has done a great job by getting back into whats a hotter fire and handling it so well. I never knew what went on between Gary Waters and the university. Why didn't that work out?

I sat next to Gary Waters at the AAU Tournament in Vegas while I believe he was sill coaching at Kent State. He was such a gentleman; spoke well of St.John's.

Lame duck.

They'll get annihilated in the B1G. Best advice for Myles Mack is to transfer now because next year they'll be in the basement and the coach who recruited him will be fired. Do your transfer year away from that upcoming misery.

Once Rutgers leaves the Big East will Myles be eligible to sign with one of the B.E.schools?

Yes.

Cosby was considering going from SHU to UConn this year but has eliminated them from his list so new BE transfers to/from old BE schools is perfectly fine starting now!

Our former staff was very close with Myles and had they not left he probably would have ended up at SJU.
Perhaps we can still get him.

Hey if Kazemi and Olaby got immediate eligibility due to abuse and persecution so should the Rutgers players wanting to transfer.

Maybe Kevin Bannon can get Rice a job with the Parks Commission. He hasn't coached since his exploits at Rugters, and Rice is headed down the same path.

@JaceyZembal: Rutgers soph PG Jerome Seagears (@SEAGEARS_MADE) will be departing the program and have 2 years of eligibility remaining.

I think the main issue with Waters is that he had no NJ connections. I always got the feeling NJ powerbrokers didn't make any effort to connect, rather than him pulling a Jarvis.

Fun correctly called this from day 1.
Said this guy was a walking time bomb.

Before Jack Kresse coached at st johns he was a gym coach at Christ the King- I was never in his class but I recall those who were saying he would throw basketballs at them. Kresse made his mark in Charleston (I always liked him) and st johns tried to lure him back some yrs ago to coach here so throwing basketballs is not what it is all about. It is about winning and bringing money into the school. If you do, in my opinion, you can throw basketballs, yell, curse and maybe throw out a slur here and there and get a slap on the wrist. If you lose, you get fired.

You might get away with yelling, cursing and maybe even throwing basketballs at the players but its really bad news when you lay a hand on them. Rice should be fired immediately.

I would look to hire Bill Carmody.

Good X's and O's coach.

From Spring Lake, N.J.

Coached Princeton before Northwestern.

Big 10 experience.

No anger management issues (Rice, Kevin Bannon, and Fred Hill, to an extent).

Sure we will hear Tommy Amaker's name pop up as a replacement at RU.

Doubt that Rutgers will (or can) spend big bucks, but if they really want to make a splash they could hire Ben Howland but it will take millions and millions and millions and millions.

Tim Cleuss would be an interesting choice and he wouldn't break the bank.

What a PR nightmare for Rutgers. I'd love to hear their explanation now why they didn't fire him in the first place! You have to be crazy to take that job now after this s#*t show.

I am still laughing. I get so much joy watching that miserable place, NJ State, embarass themselves.
