MICHIGAN (@MSG), Mon., Nov. 13, 6:30p, FS-1

Here's something i just re-learned recently either by watching Pitino vids or Bob Knight vids that i will pay special attention to this season:

The most important 3 minutes of a game begin at the start of the second half.

The old John Thompson Ewing teams would open the second half by unleashing a furious defensive attack that stunned opponents like a scorpion attack.

Curious to see how Rick's teams respond starting tonight.
followed closely by minutes 6-12 or so of the first half. The initial adrenaline has worn off, the first significant sub turnover has occurred, foul problems may have commenced, and the first substantive adjustments have been made. In close matchups, minutes 1-6 are generally illusory I find. Team that takes control in this 6-12 stretch usually has the game long leverage.

I believe that CRP is telling his players that EVERY minute of EVERY game is the most important.

Before fans bridge jump at midnight, remember Rick noted he expected some early struggles, but overall end of season success. That is not “coach speak” imo. Can they get it done tonight? Of course and betting line speaks volumes. Go Johnnies, but let’s not draw too many conclusions either way.

I agree. Whether heading out to MSG or watching at home - enjoy this one. It’s a nice bonus to get a quality opponent in November but it’s a long season and there has been tremendous roster turnover.

Will be fun, just more fun with a win.

I believe it was Beast that referred to raising Lazarus and the game tonight . Forgive me , if that’s incorrect .

But , Latest news from above is that , indeed , Lazarus has been raised and will be attending tonight Vs Michigan .

Where is he sitting ? 114 of course . He is Elite after all.

Just a comment , MSG seats roughly 19,000 plus for BB , which unless I miss my guess is hard for any College team to achieve , unless it’s UCLA , Kentucky , Kansas , etc

Nevertheless , any Crowd over 15-16 thousand should be regarded as a success as a first game of the RP Era . 18 k would be grounds for possibly Lazarus coming to future games , if we. Win .
