Special alert to all Met batters: Forget about any RBI's even if you get a base hit with a man on second base, Sherlock iwill hold the runner. Talk about not taking chances. Granted he was criticized in earlier games for sending runners against some of the better outfield arms. Now you can see he's shell shocked or sherlocked. Sorry about that.

Totally agree but holding up Rivera might have led to a few more runs. Also a little difficult to judge when you have some of the slowest runners in baseball.

It goes back to last week at Citifield against the Braves when he got someone thrown out at the plate with no one out. I think it was last Thursday with the Mets trailing 3-0. It was a terrible decision and Darling was pretty tough on him.

Very good, I think I will use Sherlocked to describe bad third base coach decisions. Its a very Metsian thing to do. When the Mets do something bad (like forgetting how many outs) I usually turn to my son and sing with him, "because where the Mets, the New York Mets"....usually helps break the frustration as we laugh it off.

yeah they have to follow it up with another W. They had every reason to lose tonight. Got in at I think 4am this morning get behind early and crappy weather. The hitting has been a lot better lately

The hitting is on fire. I am starting to like what I call the Rivera brothers (TJ and Rene) and I hope Conforto can stay hot. He is now fifth in the NL in Ops. Can't wait until they will call up Rosario so Conforto can get out of the leadoff spot where he can do more damage.

I think TJ hit over over.300 last year and he probably had 100-150 at bats and now he is starting to do it again so I'm liking this guy. I'd like too see some more power but I think he has a decent amount of doubles for his limited at bats so at least he is driving it some more

TJ has raked at every level. I am glad that he finally got a shot.

The hitting had better get going, especially if we throw Montero and Gsellman out there. And while I think about it Harvey and DeGrom didn't look strong last time out. Not worried about DeGrom, still think the jury's out with Matt. With Montero replacing Noah shows our farm teams are really hurting. Please tell me there's someone anywhere in the system better then Montero.

I was at the game still feels like football season. Good to pick on another team because of injury. I don't think the guy pitching for the Marlins could pitch for the SJU baseball team. They win another series, 3rd in a row. Let's hope they get greedy and sweep this one. This has been a problem in the past. Mets put themselves in a hole, time to start digging out.

Sad for Mets fans but Harvey was always more hype than substance, an ESPN type great before he did anything real. The Seaver comparisons were always nonsense IMO, Harvey had stuff no doubt about it but it takes head and heart and arm, not mouth and arm.

Weird season so far. 7 out of 10 for the Mets. Yet somehow it feels like we have lost 7 out of 10. Win tomorrow and they have won the last 4 series. (Nats, Braves, Marlins, Giants).
