Just thought it made sense for there to be specic posts for Marvin Clark and Justin Simon (as with any other specific student). Below is a link to a great article about Marvin Clark (from the Provience website someone posted earlier). Seems to be a special young man; been through a lot and has shown to have real character. On multiple levels, would elevate what is already becoming a special program under Coach Mullin and his staff. There is also a link within the article to a 20 minute documentary on Marvin -- if you have the time, strongly suggest you watch it. Puts life in perspective.

Thanks for sharing the article - there have been others & the video captures what seems like a remarkable young person who has endured hardship ( the bad neighborhoods, the homelessness, the frequent family upheavals, the disappointments when interested colleges reneged, injuries) better than most of we posters might have.

This could be a nice fit, a win- win St.Johns and the young Clark! Can't but help like this young man.

That was one of the best articles I ever read about recruiting. Very impressive level of detail.

If only the Chronicle had followed the Whitehead recruitment....

Michigan State transfer Marvin Clark has committed to St. John's, sources told ESPN. es.pn/1STzznC

Simon tomorrow

Per Zach B
A Big Ten coach described Clark as a “hard-nosed kid who competes on both ends of the floor” and is a “very good offensive rebounder."#sjubb

Per Zach B
Marvin Clark Jr. picked St. John's over Oklahoma State, South Florida and Providence. Said #sjubb was "perfect fit."

Happy To Be Apart Of The St.Johns Family!

@JonRothstein: "The talent upgrades on St John's roster over the past 12 months is staggering. Still a ways to go on the floor, but pieces are there". #sjubb

Kudos to our staff for their tireless efforts
The future of SJU basketball is bright!!

When I first read about Clark I had my doubts because "17 scolis are few and precious. But the more I read about him , the more I like. Strong, good rebounder and shooter w an excellent attitude.

Welcome aboard Marvin Clark. Should be a very nice pick-up.

Mods, can we move this thread to the Recruiting Section under 2016 (like was done with Tariq Owens last year) with a minor change in the title to Marvin Clark (Committed or Signed).

I have a feeling I am going to love Marvin Clark. Strong, can shoot, lefty. The battles he and Yakwe will have will be tremendous. Great compliment to each other. Welcome aboard

Considering your disappointment that Jones left, that is cool. Hope he becomes your new favorite! :)
