Marquette- 2nd Game

I APPLAUD this team of Seniors and Jordan and CO. They have had a season of resurgence that will get them into the NCAA and, as fans, who have had crappy basket ball for most of the last 15 years, we can rejoice in their accomplishment.

For so many of us, fans, alums, friends, etc who have witnessed great basketball for most of our lives, it has been pretty hard to digest all the losing we have had. We always were in the NCAA and, in a bad year, the NIT. Season ending tournaments were the rule, not exception...


We should be in the BE mix EVERY YEAR for contention of the regular season title. This team can BEAT NOVA and, is capable of winning the BE tournament

I hope it happens..

Great post. It feels great to make the NCAA tournament again. It's been a fun season.

Apparently how it works is it determines your self worth, and I must have the lowest of all time. P Mass, quick question. While I don't GAF about my awful karma, and to be honest I didn't even notice it until recently, I am curious if my decent into karmahell was gradual or all at once. Any way of finding out? PS fun game to watch last night. Never in question even though they seemed a bit off in the first half. Why oh why did it take so long for these supposed great shooters coming out of HS to finally reach these heights. Just glad they made it there before they graduated/left.

In terms of online discussion / community, Karma predates Facebook likes/dislikes and I believe that it started with Reddit (who of course adopted the term from eastern philosophy). "Thank You" and "Points" are used similarly on other forums / social sites. Some sites even associate them with a sort of currency like the ability to purchase things to add to your profile or access exclusive features.

Pick em' :huh:? 85' You are so right about sloppy. Too many fancy passes instead of sure things. Lavin did point that out in the huddle. Don't know about you but was very confident all game. However, was concerned when Wojo played Taylor and Fischer together. Actually Taylor helped us with a few walking calls and a charge. Nova has to be very concerned about Saturday, especially since a loss could hurt their # 1 seed in the NCAA Tourney.

very patriotic but maybe considering his age, could you find an Olivia Newton John pic "wearing" the same outfit? (with maybe some leg warmers?)
 
sorry it interrupt - but back to the game- one thing i keep coming away impressed with is the conditioning of our guys! think about it- these core 5 guys are incredibly fit. a lot of credit has to go to their off-season regime / diet / sleeping habits etc...(college kids with a lot of extra curriculars at their finger tips)

30 games with 6 players taking 97% of the minutes each game- and they are now streaking at the end of it. Impressive. I dont know if anyone caught Lav in one of those mic'd sessions last night- he was telling the guys how many timeouts he has left and they will use them to catch their breath and re-charge, to keep going hard every possession. I get so frustrated by his use of timeouts esp after a big made basket- but Lav made a good point in the huddle. Interesting tidbit.

I don't believe you can tell (except maybe Paul), but I do believe I've earned a few from you. Some day maybe we'll meet - I have no malice towards you, and I think if we spoke we'd settle our perceived differences if we are both reasonable guys.
