His knee injury played into decision not to litigate. Maybe the NCAA decision is a blessing in disguise. Not sure when he initially injured his knee, but it seems like he would have missed a chunk of the season anyway.

Just curious, what lies? Not saying there aren't any but my understanding is that any litigation regarding eligibility would legally have to come from the player, not the school. As johnnyfan says the knee injury could be true or merely a way for Lovett to save a little face. I posted before, I believe the threat of litigation was used as a chip to attempt to influence the NCAA, nothing more. To me , they tried, it didn't work. Am I missing something?
