Louisville

Syracuse and Louisville were the only teams i felt could blow us out... and they did. They bright side is we don't have to play them again. I think we can win or be very competitive in our last games. We need to hope the rest of the bubble teams struggle

At the risk of being marginalized even more: this isn't basketball. We can't shoot and are game on the road playing rag tag crap. Louisville should be embarrassed too. I learned a lot by not driving down for this game: 1. Conference scmoferance, no calls will go our way in KY (FYI, in Indiana too) 2. We'd be better off playing playing the NIT than playing a playing a one and done. 3. We are not good, at all. We can't shoot, play defense, or game plan.

We cant play defense? Another clown
so only people that are blind to this team flaws are real fans get outta here

Phil Greene is literally the only player that played a decent game. Harrison is so bad on defense. Any NBA talk for this kid...even top Euro needs to stop. He is painfully slow and he shoots the ball from deep or that ugly baseline shot from his chin that he'll literally never get off against professional competion.

Nobody can create a thing but Greeene. Harrison can't get away from a decent defender, and Sampson and Pointer are turnovers waiting to happen whenever they touch the ball outside of 15 feet. I hate Greene's overdribbling, but if he didn't do that crap who would create ANYTHING?

Pointer is so bad offensively. Sampson is great for a 15 foot spot up or a few moves inside after a rebound, but he has no perimeter game. Holy crap do we need Branch.

no it was not just frustrated but if we dont win 4 outta 5 were nit bound

We have two teams worse than us, one team we have already beat, and two teams good but we are at garden. And the BET tournament.
gotta win 4 0f 5 or were done as far as tourney yes we will beat southflorida. but will we beat pitt at home maybe or prov on the road maybe if we dont win all those we are done

Louisville had a simple, quality strategy in this game - make us jump, hit the easy shot. We shot block, we work, but we play bad defense

We did NOT GET BLOWN OUT

This Phil Greene-Bourgault thing is so obvious to so many fans why not to the Coaches? I JUST CAN'T STAND SEEING GREENE WITH THE BALL..

He breaks any movement off the ball with his incessant, almost obsessive dribbling.

HE takes way too many shots for such a poor % SHOOTER...

Hines has done a good job. I mean Pitino is a HOF COACH...

THIS TEAM STILL NEEDS LOTS OF WORK AND THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY MISSING PIECES.. pg, Power FORWARD, SHOOTER.. LAVIN HAS MUCH WORK AHEAD OF HIM RECRUITING WISE. i'M NOT CONFIDENT THIS GROUP GETS IT DONE NEXT YEAR EITHER.

Why do you continue to type in all CAPS? It's the equivalent of yelling.

Dom Pointer has no skill and makes terrible decisions. How is the ball always in his hands? It's unbelievable. He can't shoot, he can't handle, and he doesn't make good decisions.

I'm sick of this kid touching the ball. Play defense and then get out of the way.

Ahh... the inevitable (_______________) [fill in the blanks with your least favorite players ] sucks. Come on guys, no matter how we squeaked by wins against the lower to middle part of the league, we just played two games on the road against the two best teams in the league. Even when we were 7-3, even with Branch, beating Syracuse and Louisville on the road was just not in the Cards (pun intended). If the road to an NCAA bid has 7 league losses, these two were part of it, even by the most positive supporters. This is why a bid to the dance at 7-3 was such a tall order, and still is. Nothing has changed, except this team simply isn't as good without BRanch.

I never said Dom sucks or should even sit...I said he shouldn't be a feature ball-handler and decision-maker. Name one kid in the entire conference that plays the two or three that handles the ball worse than Dom? That shoots from deep as bad as Dom?

We didnt get beat down. Cuse and GTOWN games were beatdowns. We had a chance to make the game close with 5 minutes left, just missed shots.
please we lost i dont wanna hear we were withing 12 please we lost enough with the moral v

I said it a bit earlier.... We (particularly, Obekpa, Sampson, and Pointer) didn't stay on their feet, which allowed Louisville some chippies.

I don't think Jack is talking about a moral victory, rather he's responding to your claim that we got blown out in this game, which we did not.

Out offensive was absolutely horrendous as far as I watched. I, of course, didn't get home in front of a television until we were winning 33-32 and it was all downhill. 15 straight minutes it looked like not a single player on our squad had ever run any kind of an offensive set sort of standing around doing nothing.

Hate to point out the obvious, but I praise the crap out of him when he plays good, Pointer was horrible in the 2nd half.

In Jack's defense, he never stated anything about it being a moral victory.... Some poster said the game was a blow out, and Jack stated that we didn't. So, you can stop with the strawman.

G'town seemed to blow us out pretty easily too... Pitt will not be a pushover, nor will Marquette and also Prov on their homecourt. USF IS WEAK THIS YEAR. BUT, we still have ND on their homecourt.

Hope for the best.. Need 3 wins minimum to get to 10..

Did I deny we cant shoot? Did i deny we don't game plan? Nope. We play good, hard defense. That is what I wanted to say. Im not blind to the flaws of this team, but id much rather look at the bright side of things, we were never expected to win these last two so the fact that we lost by 14 and you and other people are bitching and moaning like our season just ended is annoying me.

Let's break it down..... Marquette is just as good as the Cuse and Louisville, if you agree with the statement, "you are what your record says you are", at ND.... Tough one as they just beat the Ville there. Pitt has been tough as of late. Providence is no slouch up there, and then there is South Florida home.....winnable. Realistically we may be looking at only one more win.

I know people are frustrated but take a step back and realize that these last three losses all came on the road against arguably the three best teams in the Big East. We are playing without our starting PG, and the last two games without our head coach. Win 4 of the last 5 and we are dancing IMO.

Amen

Very winnable game. Basically came down to the fact that Jakarr played an absolutely dreadful game. I wondered why he wasn't on a single list of top 100 nba prospects... Now I know why.

At the end of the day this will be a good experience. Probably cost us an NCAA bid but we will be pretty dirty next year.
