Looking to Next Season

POTENTIAL ROSTER
Ponds
Dixon
Simon
Owens
Clark
Keita
Roberts
Williams
Trimble

I'll be happy with making the dance (and hopefully winning 1 game) with that lineup. Too many ifs (if Keita takes a big jump forward from freshman year, if Dixon makes up for Ahmed's loss offensively, if Simon develops a good outside shot, if Williams is ready to contribute significantly as a frosh, if Tariq decides to concentrate a bit more on rebounding) to assume more at this point.[/quote]

Everyone keeps forgetting Marcellus and Diakite.;) That's 11 players (if) Owens returns but 6 are new to the team. The key, again, will be how well the sit out transfers are integrated into the rotation. Mullin did a good job with Simon and Clark this past season so Dixon and Keita will be key to any post season aspirations.

If we get Tariq back, I still want a Grad or Juco Big—but concede that may be akin to my wanting an XKE when I was in school and could barely afford a used Corvair that mucked up and died in clouds of smoke on the LIE—but I digress.
But that is a good roster—certainly a strong 6-man rotation, with some hope that Trimble/Williams/Roberts may contribute and Diakite(healed?) and Earlington capable of spot time.
But much depends on Simon improving his shot, Shamorie his consistency, Clark playing smarter via fouls, Tariq rebounding a little bit, and Dixon and Keita shaking off the dust and fitting in seamlessly on the court.
Let’s go Johnnies!

My next door neighbor who was only 4 years older than me treated himself to his 25th birthday with a convertible canary yellow Jag. He was very successful in advertising and has retired down south in Hilton Head.
To this day he has his XKE and has spent more on it than his wife!:p
