Looking to Next Season
Not saying much for us
Well, article was written yesterday and writer has our trend as ‘up’. Thinking the guy must know about the Tariq situation. Agree it’s mum about recruiting, but if Tariq leaves or stays—all we need is 1 quality grad transfer (JUCO?) Big. Keita, Roberts, Diakite (injury?) provide some level of depth, and Dixon and Williams and Trimble (?), guard depth.
The cupboard is not ‘bare’ like it has been the past few years—it is shifting and in transition.
We shall see.

Marvin has a much better shot than Tariq. Instead of complaining and insisting he plays the perimeter.,he is going to do what’s best for the team. And he’s not 6 11. He also has really improved as the season went on. He and Simon where excellent pickups.
I read it that he's leaving too.
Wasn't thrilled to read "My Last CHAPTER Will Be My Best! STAY TUNED." And if nothing else, Delaware, you've probably unleashed an avalanche of posts to come.

Bro, he already said he’s coming back on his Twitter ( he already has a workout schedule with Simon). The last chapter he’s referencing to is his senior year.

Love this kid. Wish we had more like him.
P.S. This is why I hate tweets: they can be very cryptic at times. (Except for the POTUS ones, of course.)

This is why I generally leave twitter to the young guys: the old guys immediately panic, and translators need to step in to talk people off the ledge. That said, you could pinpoint on Brooks' mom's twitter when St. John's was out.

Or fall into unintended relationships you have to explain to your lovely Peruvian girlfriend later.

Watch the "old guys" cracks. (Just when I was getting to like you.) As for me, I've never panicked or been on a ledge. Just ask Paultzman.

For those that like to over analyze social media, Tariq was in the gym with Marvin Clark on his Snapchat today putting up shots

Think what Marvin really loves is your elephant-scent cologne. (You do wear cologne, yes?)

That would add another oddity to the already odd Owens situation. He wants to explore, may come back, yet his Dad posts on Twitter at season's end how much he loves the kids (including Ponds) and was for the most part highly complimentary of the staff (I read somewhere that his Dad grew up idolizing Mullin).

I know there are some hard feelings but I prefer that Owens return. He plays his heart out. Yes this whole situation was handled poorly and the social media stuff doesn't help (when does it ever?), but he seems like a good kid by all accounts and if he returns it means that he's buying into the team concept instead of simply trying to hoist as many shots as he can per game. The reality is that we are a better team with kids like Owens so long as there is no agenda. He'll get plenty of burn regardless of any grad transfer big we bring in, benefit from Keita and the big-to-be named later, have the opportunity to develop his mid-range game and can further develop his rebounding and defensive skills, the latter of which will be the driving force behind any career he has professionally.
