Williams was the only bright spot.
 
LIU earned the win, and we deserved the loss. Just tells you how far this team had to go to be competitive in the Big East. Twenty one games to go including the Big East tourney and 10 wins needed to get to even the most pessimistic predictions from board. There are no gimme wins for this team. Eleven wins for the season is no guarantee when you have a team that can't defend anyone.

Very disappointing, but embarrassing, I disagree, LIU has players and outplayed us. We played hard but very stupidly and while I have preached giving Mullin time I am getting frustrated with his love affair with Ellison as a lead guard. Give him minutes but leaving the ball in his hands, no, I just don't see it. Not substituting for Yakwe on offense hard to understand or defend.
 
Ouch! Losing like this sux.

Beat Penn St. we are back to 500.
Upset Cuse cuz we can shoot against the zone. I am hopeful. Maybe too much so.

guard play/three point shooting the key to winning the games. it is possible to shred cuse's zone with lights out three point shooting.

Sadly Otis, I think you are safe. I think the only people who pay attention to our team is us on this board. Our decent to irrelevancy is just about complete. Not even sure where we go from here. I still have hope for CM but outside of the fact he is CM what exactly have we seen that says he is the one?

Having just slightly longer patience than some of us is not meritorious. We used to eke games out like this under NR (which was embarrassing of itself) and NR would launch into diatribes of what a hard fought game, a big win for us, great effort, and so on. Losses like this almost make me yearn for that - but not really.
 
What bothers me most is the continued lack of fundamentals and discipline when in comes to bad passes, poor timing etc...

and for heavens sake with under 20 seconds left Yakwe should not be in the game, and if he is there should be a rule to ensure anyone else but him touches the ball on offsense.

Ellison plays ball with the intensity of playing at a company summer party...

Yakwe and Ellison are nothing more than 10 minute a game players (and definitely not any of the last 10)

Sounds like semantics to me Logen. However, if this isn't embarrassing (just disappointing) to us I can't wait to see what that feels like!

A couple years back, at Seton Hall Jordan found Obekpa down low and he stuffed home a last second win in Jersey for the first time in like 10 years. No one on this team is capable of a play like that..
 
From TV, I saw President Gemepsaw in the stands, and the new AD Goff sitting at scorers table.

How often does head coach usually have meetings with the AD ?
 
Totally outplayed by a lesser opponent and totally out coached.
Substitutions ridiculous. Ellison with ball in final seconds and passing it to none other than Yakwe.
