Awesome, Posh is the goods! He was ranked 254 nationally by 24/7. These dudes don't know jack.
To be fair, he was around top 75 after his sophomore year, then missed all of his junior year because of a broken arm.  He spent most of last year trying to get back into form.

His talent was never questioned.  Some were just skeptical of whether he could get fully healthy.  Others thought he should have prepped for a year, to get back into shape further.  Good thing for us that he didn't.

Disregard

(Late game watching Oregon beat Arizona State...the latter I believe has a sub .500 record...do I hear Bobby Hurley?)

I wonder if Posh is or will suffer from freshman fatigue/burnout?
it's a possibility! He's given us sooo much.

Hopefully not. Granted it is Higher level of competition but OSL played as many games and are road warriors traveling the country

Not a chance.  These kids play 4o minutes once or twice a week.  The fatigue factor is overrated for these young bucks.

Posh seems to be in great cardio shape. I rarely seem him breathing hard. I would be more concerned about mental fatigue with him than physical, and I'm not that worried about either.

If there anyone with a bigger heart on the court than Posh, I want to know who it is.

With his outside shot not falling tonight, he stuffs the stat sheet with 15pts, 9ast, 8reb, 3stls. Huge offensive putbacks. Throwing his body all over the court. Disrupting X offense. You could tell Scruggs was uneasy all night, looking over his shoulder for Posh.

I love the charge that it was either Wusu or Marcellus took in the first half. Scruggs was looking over his shoulder for Posh and drove the lane where we were planted and waiting.

i know i responded to moose but it isn't there  whatever.

Earl took the charge lol he ran into a brick wall.

Posh was a monster.  Becoming a very compete player extremely fast.  He's also a guy that teams are having a very hard time game planning for.  He's a menace and our next guard in Dunn us also a tremendously disruptive guy.  I want Dunn back next year at all costs because he's actually getting better.
Posh I was high in but he's far exceeding my expectations.

Fwiw, all of our opponents fan boards are in love with Posh and all wish they had him.  That's a big testament.  They all also respect Mike Anderson. IMO it says a lot because rice been following most of these boards for the better of 20 years or so and haven't heard as many positive things about sju initl this season.  We are finally playing real basketball. Good coaching.  Nasty players like Posh and more to come.  Fun time for SJU fans.

CMA on Posh On Posh Alexander’s play even when his shots weren’t falling… “I was proud of him and talked to him after the game. I said, “last week you didn’t shoot the ball well, and you got frustrated, but this time you continued to play and impacted the team in other ways.” I think he had seven assists at halftime, and I don’t know how many he ended up with, but he also grabbed some rebounds and then the scoring started. We had a lot of guys that stepped up for us tonight. Marcellus [Earlington] had 16 and nine rebounds, Isaih [Moore] continues to play well. The bench is a difference-maker, you can see that the level of intensity goes up. Quietly, Jules [Julian Champagnie] I had no idea he had 21 points. This team has a lot of parts and more of those parts continue to play at a consistent level. It was good to see Greg [Williams Jr.] get out there and get some action, that is only going to pay dividends going forward. Again Posh [Alexander] continues to impact this team in a lot of different ways.”

I still don't know how Posh outjumped the trees for the tip in, or offensive rebound and put back.

The Earlington drawn offensive foul Moose described is the best example of what a disruptor Posh is.  He's like a hornet at a picnic.  Even when an opponent doesn't see him, they know he's close by, and it worries the hell out of them.

I think what we're seeing from Posh and Julian is something very special - two homegrown, underrecruited players who have vaulted to the top of the Big East in short time.

Cherish every moment.

It's the equivalent of Halley's Comet for this program.

Couldn't agree more MainMan! Well said. More than ever I wish I could see these guys play in person.

When I saw that tip-in, I'm thinking "that has to make an opposing coach go absolutely nuts". Special special ball player, and the best is yet to come!
