It’s like watching certain officials against St. John’sKnicks getting totally screwed on these calls
Couldn’t agree more. Hart got called for two completely bogus calls in a rowKnicks getting totally screwed on these calls
They acted like they were trading for Jayson Tatum.Bridges has been an absolute disaster tonight. That trade is looking pretty bad
You can take your hat off they’re a bunch of mooks.Haliburton is a super big time player. Doesn’t turn the ball over a much under appreciated stat.
Pacers a very good and well coached team. Hats off.
I think I'm more back to "this roster is fatally flawed and we don't have the assets to make it better" place. Are we back to firing Thibs?
Sadly, I have to kind of agree. At the start of the game I was texting with my daughter and told her Bridges has to take and make those mid range jumpers as they will be there all night. He proceeded to go 2-10 from within the three point line and some of them were big misses. I loved Mikael when he played on those successful Suns teams where he was a great third option and was thrilled when the Knicks got him. Been too up and down this year though. I was less thrilled with the KAT move as I didn't think his defensive weaknesses would fit with Thibs style. The stats don't even look all that bad on paper, but to me, when i watch these games, i continue to come away with the same take: We needed Mikal Bridges to just be a bit better than he is. He's a good player, but if you take the draft capital we used to get him, and use that on a real capital letter S-T-A-R... I think that is the difference between us being conference finalists and potentially getting over the hump.
It is a shame because he showed some real flashes in brooklyn, and the Nova connection made it incredibly enticing. i don't blame the front office for making the move one bit. But he isn't the consistent force we need him to be.
That is not to say he is the only issue with he roster, but he is what sticks out to me the most.
Mikal is averaging less than one free throw attempt per game this playoffs. Considering the shot attempts and minutes played, it sounds like a fake stat. I may lose it if I watch another fadeaway jumpshot in the paint.Sadly, I have to kind of agree. What I have heard is that the favorable contract Brunson signed will give them some leeway to add a decent bench piece, but not sure that alone will get them to a championship finals.
Not a huge surprise though as other than his two years with the Nets where he was the main guy on bad teams he has always been a guy who doesn't get to the line a lot.Mikal is averaging less than one free throw attempt per game this playoffs.
