Knicks

Yea I’m talking more nationally, it is what it is but I felt like last night was a significant moment from the Knicks where they actually took some haymakers from the Celtics and delivered on a near perfect second half. The first two games felt like the Celtics folded almost as much as the Knicks took it, last night was the game where we ate 42 from Tatum, white couldn’t miss, and yet we battled and took control of the game. We had a breakaway dunk to go up 9 when Tatum went down. I just hope it’s not lost that we earned that s**t
Totally understand your point of view but personally don’t give a rat’s ass what the National pundits say Knicks have nothing to apologize for if they win this series. Still believe Knicks will get a ton of credit if they dethrone the defending champs.

My daughter was at last nights game. I told her before the game she picked the right game because I really felt that it was a must game for both teams in that whoever won would be a heavy favorite to win the series. That was without the Tatum injury.
I dont see Celts winning three in a row. Knicks have got belief now and with good reason.

Knicks were up 7 with 3 minutes left when he went down.
They were winning that game last night no matter what happened to Tatum. Let’s try to wrap this up and not play games with this team and then get ready for most likely Indiana, which will be another dogfight like last year’s series.

To me the key to the Knicks is OG Anunoby. He’s not the best player on the Knicks but he is a difference maker on the floor. He opens things up when he’s a threat. Game 3 he was invisible 2 points in over 30 minutes. He barely dented the stat sheet and was ineffective on defense. Last night? 20 points and he made everyone around him better. Not sure why the no show Saturday but last night was a world of difference.

ONE more needed.

Really 9 because OG had break away dunk whether he got hurt or not.
Had ESPN2 on while on the treadmill and talking heads of course saying game was by no means over if Tatum doesn’t get hurt as they would have gone to him every time in last 3 plus minutes. Ignore the fact that doing hadn’t stopped Knicks from building that lead.

This was an interesting question two weeks ago. Amazing how things change.

You have to re-sign him, and Thibs has to give him the keys of the offense with Brunson off the court.
I think because of the Knicks depleting their draft assets to bring him in, they have no choice but to sign him.

And with complicated CBA rules around a S&T (hard capping at the first apron, etc), I don't see how you can trade him either.

It also doesn't really matter. If he can play at this high of a level on offense without JB on the floor and defense against top guys, he's worth the contract anyway.

Not to mention he's only 28 and probably the most durable guy in the league.
