Think Boston was 8-2 without Tatum this season.Don’t let Boston catch their breath. Still a lot of talent over there.

Totally understand your point of view but personally don’t give a rat’s ass what the National pundits say Knicks have nothing to apologize for if they win this series. Still believe Knicks will get a ton of credit if they dethrone the defending champs.Yea I’m talking more nationally, it is what it is but I felt like last night was a significant moment from the Knicks where they actually took some haymakers from the Celtics and delivered on a near perfect second half. The first two games felt like the Celtics folded almost as much as the Knicks took it, last night was the game where we ate 42 from Tatum, white couldn’t miss, and yet we battled and took control of the game. We had a breakaway dunk to go up 9 when Tatum went down. I just hope it’s not lost that we earned that s**t
Knicks were up 7 with 3 minutes left when he went down.Tatum injury is a shame. For the league, for the Celtics and (inconsiderate for saying this I know) but it’s also a shame for the Knicks because the talk unfortunately won’t be about how well they played in the second
Well, this quote aged well. LOLThis team does not have the right stuff to make a deep playoff run. What a shame.
They were winning that game last night no matter what happened to Tatum. Let’s try to wrap this up and not play games with this team and then get ready for most likely Indiana, which will be another dogfight like last year’s series.Knicks were up 7 with 3 minutes left when he went down.
Really 9 because OG had break away dunk whether he got hurt or not.Knicks were up 7 with 3 minutes left when he went down.
Had ESPN2 on while on the treadmill and talking heads of course saying game was by no means over if Tatum doesn’t get hurt as they would have gone to him every time in last 3 plus minutes. Ignore the fact that doing hadn’t stopped Knicks from building that lead.Really 9 because OG had break away dunk whether he got hurt or not.
And Brunson was abusing White.Had ESPN2 on while on the treadmill and talking heads of course saying game was by no means over if Tatum doesn’t get hurt as they would have gone to him every time in last 3 plus minutes. Ignore the fact that doing hadn’t stopped Knicks from building that lead.
Hopefully he makes a full recovery. Great talent who was having his best game of the playoffs. The least surprising news of the day. Sadly. Predictably.

Celtics Star Jayson Tatum Ruptures Achilles Tendon, Out for Remainder of Playoffs
A Tuesday MRI revealed the Celtics' worst fear, that their franchise cornerstone ruptured his Achilles in Monday's Game 4 loss.www.si.com
I think because of the Knicks depleting their draft assets to bring him in, they have no choice but to sign him. This was an interesting question two weeks ago. Amazing how things change.
You have to re-sign him, and Thibs has to give him the keys of the offense with Brunson off the court.
And with complicated CBA rules around a S&T (hard capping at the first apron, etc), I don't see how you can trade him either.I think because of the Knicks depleting their draft assets to bring him in, they have no choice but to sign him.
Not to mention he's only 28 and probably the most durable guy in the league. And with complicated CBA rules around a S&T (hard capping at the first apron, etc), I don't see how you can trade him either.
It also doesn't really matter. If he can play at this high of a level on offense without JB on the floor and defense against top guys, he's worth the contract anyway.
