Knicks trade Porzingis
Very simple analysis:

If the Knicks get 2 max players with the cap $$$, it was a great trade
If they don't, it sucks!!
Fingers crossed
But, with Dolan at the helm, I wouldn't count on it
He always seems to find a way to turn chicken salad into chicken $hit!!
Not really.

They need to get the right max players. Don't need another Amare.

The idea that the Knicks have enough to trade for AD is laughable given what the Lakers have offered and were turned down. Besides if they give up alot all they'll have is AD and maybe lure one max FA. Better to hope our first rounder hits gold and lure 2 max FAs. Need at least 3 studs to compete for title in today's NBA where players seem to orchestrate rosters.

I’m sure it won’t happen because it’s the Knicks but there has been a lot of KD/Knicks buzz and Durant continues to be awfully testy with the media lately about his upcoming free agency.

Not sure why the Knicks traded for Smith unless they plan to flip him. He's just not that good.

But at least he's shown a penchant for throwing hissy fits.

Smith is the best guard on the Knicks roster. He has real potential, especially if he can work on the maturity/mental issues. Considering the fact he just turned the legal drinking age, I think he'll be okay on that front.

Can't shoot from 2 or 3
jumps out of a building
Not a floor leader. Just a 2 guard in a PG body
Yes he's young but so is Francois and at least he's a ball hawk on D

Are you saying Frank will be a better player than DSJ?

Yup. You have nothing good to say about DSJ and then you randomly bring up Frank and his D. What else am I suppose to think?

My point was Francois does something really well in play D. Smith doesn't do anything really well unless dunking counts. Even his FT % is bad.

Sure they are both young and shouldn't be dismissed immediately. Look how it took Mudiay time to develop as well. But like you pointed out the maturity issues are also alarming.
