Knicks trade Porzingis
Being a Knick fan is way more challenging then being a Johnny fan. Only way they should be trading Porzingis is as part of a deal to get AD unless they know for sure Durant is going to come.
They know nothing just dumb.
Supposedly Dolan pissed at KP so this happened.

So they get the guy (Smith Jr.) who they should have drafted two years ago (either him or Donovan Mitchell) and two expiring contracts and a 1st rounder but not this years when it could have actually meant something. Dumb and dumber.

Two max contracts? As someone else posted, who wants to come here? They will wind up waisting it on someone like they did on Hardway Jr. two years ago where they over spent because no one else would take their money and they had to show something for it.

Ah, glad I don't care about the NBA that much.

They are the worst!

Pozingis will haunt them for the next 15 years. Very good player with a ridiculously high ceiling. Very marketable.......I know my kid and his friends loved him!

Just all around stupid.

But at least at this point that guy they should have taken is damaged goods. Ran away rather than share with Luka. Not someone I'd want on my team.

Hope you guys realize Porzingis was either going to sign a Max with the Knicks or sign a max offer sheet with another team. Not sold on a 7’3” injury prone big man who can barely stay on his feet on the slightest contact. One of the most overrated players I’ve ever seen. Plus they got rid of 2 horrible contracts!

Mavs don't even own their 1st round pick this year and can't trade back to back years so Knicks might get Mavs pick in 2021

The trade gives the Knicks cap space for two max contracts and I mentioned Durant and Kyrie but it could be any two free agents or even if the Knicks can't entice the free agents they want the cap space can be traded for players from a team that feels they can lure Durant or some other free agent. By June we will see how it all works out but I feel the Knicks have some confidence they can lure two very good players to commit.

My 2 favorite pro sports teams Mets and Knicks.
Mets owned by Mortimer and Randolph Duke and Knicks owned by a dope

Kind of funny Dennis Smith was in the trade after they passed him over him in the draft.

It will be a future first rounder, according to reports.

The life of a Knick fan. Hope for the best, but expect the worst. Only hope is that one of these days they are going to make a big move that works out just by dumb luck. Maybe this is that time?? I'm trying to grasp at that straw but can't quite reach it.
Knicks go nowhere until ownership changes or dies. End of story.
Although I think this move can work out, yes, things would be much better if we can record Dolan saying something racist against black people.

ESPN now reporting 2 first rounders are included though it's likely 2021 and 2023.

Everyone mentioning Kyrie. In 7 seasons you can say he's played a full season 3 times. Hardly a guy that should be a max deal as he continues to get older.
Just so everyone knows there is no master plan at play here. We are talking about the Knicks. Just a bad trade
No Kyrie please... no Defense.

Wonder if the kid who was crying at the draft because the Knicks drafted KP is crying again now that they traded him as he became a KP fan. Not against this as most of you guys seem to be. Gets rid of Hardway and his contract although just getting rid of him is addition by subtraction in my book. Also get rid of Lee's contract. KP so far has been injury prone and also proven to be a bit of a headcase. Get back 2 first rounders, Dennis Smith and cap space for 2 max FAs. The big question is whether or not Knick brass through back channels have been able to ascertain the likelihood of certain prospective FAs being willing to come here.

bama, agree that this deal makes lots of sense if Knicks can in fact sign those 2 big free agents. It's just that as a forever Knick fan, I always expect them to screw things up. Having said that, I am happy to see Hardaway go, was starting to sour on Porzingis and his pain of a brother/agent and have always liked Deandre Jordan (although doubt they'll pay him). Trade grade TBD after summer.
