Khadeen Carrington (Seton Hall verbal)

Probably be better if we signed a front court type
We have surplus guards and wings

Minimum of 3 scholarships to give.
Harrison,Greene and Branch will all be seniors next season.

And Pointer. Which means it might be tough to convince a guard to come onboard.

Moose, I was trying to make a point of why I think Carrington would be a good fit.

All freshmen don't need to start. He would get his shot at significant minutes as a soph. We need to stagger players at these positions. Unfortunately, next year our front court is gonna lose a lot. Freshmen are gonna see a lot of time.

I don't think it would be tough to convince a guard to come aboard ,just a 5 star guard who wants a lot of PT as a FR. IE Whitehead

Definitely. Learn for a year from all those experienced and decorated seniors and then take over as a soph...no learning curve. That is the Syracuse method of reloading.

My point was I think it might be tough to get a guard to come on board. I know that its one year than the keys are yours in theory. But I think it scared Terrell off.

All signs as of now point to not many guards on our list. Frankly I don't even think we are recruiting Carrington. When season starts things might change

“@Coast2CoastHoop: 2014 Bishop Laughlin (NY) guard Khadeen Carrington is taking a visit to Seton Hall today, per a source.”

If we lose Carrington to Seton Hall it will start to sound the alarms in my head. SHU will likely be a bottom feeder in the new conference, so if they pass us up as a rising team with Lavin for them it will be very very odd.

It appears staff cooled on him some time ago. No need to activate "head alarms".

Nonsense Paultz. Lavin clearly can't recruit anymore. Who cares if he has all those guys in the NBA and who cares if SJU is one of less than five teams that can start a top 75 player at every position. I mean, Lavin had three full recruiting classes to do that when most of the other coaches had four years, plus a decade planting seeds with recruits, AAU teams, and high schools. Who cares if he came in cold and did all that in three recruiting classes. He sucks the fourth recruiting class...even though it is just September 5th. He clearly won't get it together. If he can't land Carrington, who can he land?

“@NYPost_Brazille: Was told Khadeen Carrington visit went very well to Seton Hall and he make take an official there also. #shbb”

“@NYPost_Brazille: Carrington plans to visit Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Cincinnati soon, but no dates set.”

Understand Paultz concern been saying for a few months that not many 2014 top recruits are mentioning us and many top and mid programs have commits for 2014 am not ringing the panic bell but as I said hope the magic comes back
Yes we have top 75 players and did not take us very far so I do not call those recruiting classes major success Can't help it I want more top recruits like rasheed The expectations of Coach's hire was that is what he would deliver Yes the Seton Hall grab hurts unless you are correct that we got off of him Looking forward to a big yr and hope some big recruits

Marillac was speaking tongue in cheek. Look at my post that preceded his.
