When Davis was 6'2 in HS, he was a kid with an ugly uni-brow - now at Kentucky at 6'10 and on the basketball team, he has the unibrow women just can't live without!

Not knocking the recruiting but it is neglectful that the staff did not get us a big body A decent 6-10 guy would have been a big help tonite to shoot Harrisson has not come close no excuse for that. He runs around like he is afraid
Think is was mentally out of the 1st half Greene showing me more so far Hope it is not heading toward a 40 pt blowout If so a loss like this could kill us for the rest of the yr

On the road against the number one team in the country with basically all freshman and we are only down 11 at the half. I'll take that any day. Could actually see this game going either way in the 2nd half. Are we going to win? Probably not, but we could remain relatively competitive for much of the 2nd half...

I'd rather win a NC with Lavin instead of having our program ruined by NCAA sanctions while Cal moves on to another team.

please people STOP bashing dunlop for his offensive plan. hes at the minimum making kentucky work on defense. really stop it. for all we know making them work for 30+ seconds on defense is why theyre legless on some of their 3's that were wide open and missed, chasing dangelo and nuri around the floor on the other side.
maybe hes hoping kentucky doesnt have the stamina as well to play 30+ seconds of defense everytime down the floor, they really dont go further than 8 deep and on most nights on 7 deep.
if we take a quick shot and miss, even if its an open one they can turn it on so fast on the break and can basically have their guards throw it up and have one of their big men just go and get it. really man, dunlop is a lot better coach than he gets credit for.
give dunlop kentucky's players and let me be a head coach anywhere, im sure no one calls him a bad coach at that point. hes simply not lavin. next time i guess you'll want rico hines to coach instead, and lets see how he prepares the team. or maybe gene keady (a great coach) can try to do it and maybe faint within the first 10 min of the game because he cant handle it anymore.
were just not as big, not as talented, period. doesnt mean we suck or dunlop sucks. some of you guys are rediculous, reminds of dumb fans in the crowd dont barely know whats going on but think they do and scream "box out" every time the other team grabs an offensive board.
dunlop is a great coach, hes not lavin though. just relax guys, its not him. were playing the #1 team in the country at their house and were down 11. our "big guy" would be their 4th biggest guy. they have 4 maybe 5 future nba players on kentucky's roster.
we are not playing bad by any means. were smaller, davis is prob a #1 or 2 pick hes a beast, were small, the 2nd half wont be drastically different. dont expect it to be.
theyre fighting, it should encourage you guys, you dont have to point out every little mistake! theyre freshmen and you know this. are you seriously not proud of how theyre playing right now? kentucky can go on a 15-0 run in 2 mins at any point with their talent and dunlops slow, grind it out pace has for the most part stopped that from happening and WE ARE in striking distance, which is really all you can ask for, if you think we should be in better shape your expectations of this team are wayyyy too high for this year, and it would also make me question your knowledge of this game.
we will be great, we all know this. next year were a ncaa tourney team, no doubt. this year we must realize that a half like that should be a good lesson, great experience, and honestly i thought we played great. were just outmatched, simple as that!
like i said though. were in striking distance, a couple steals, easy baskets, a dangelo 3 and we could be within 5 in under 5 minutes, will it happen? not likely, but with this team IT CAN. stop bashing these kids for God's sake. theyre doing great.
