Keeping Up With Old Friends Thread

Nonsense, he blew off a workout, period, end of story. He was not perceived by Macon to be a positive, chemistry wise, and IMO, that action (or lack of) proved it. And I may be old school but a player should be willing to go out and make himself BE wanted. He had that opportunity and turned his back on it.
"I didn't feel wanted" = "they didn't kiss my ass enough"

Still with the Posh-bashing bullshit. He was a tough kid, gave us everything he had……and man, could we use his defense now.
Seems like "bullshit" the new word of the month around here. Tell me, what exactly did we win with Posh's defense? Not totally Posh's fault, obviously, but man some of you guys talk about Posh like he was Isaiah Thomas or something. Had a chance stay on Rick's terms, not Posh's. Chose not to. What's so hard for you and others to understand about that?

Posh got best of the dribble all the time too…

88 at home against the Rock throwers of Seton Hall last year. 96 at home against Marquette. 102 (!) against Creighton. What defense were people watching?

Actually, ‘bullshit’ is not a bad description of the Rick-can-do-no-wrong attitude that dominates this board. He said from the beginning he was keeping Soriano and Drissa, and everyone else was expendable. Everyone knew he was intent on bringing his whole backcourt from Iona. Posh’s ‘tryout’ wasn’t going to be real. IMO, Pitino should have had shown a little loyalty to a kid who sweated and bled for us for three years.

I didn't necessarily agree with how he handled that early on, but he's getting paid the big bucks to right this ship, so I'll wait a while before I start passing judgment on his decisions . And while no coach or person is perfect, name me one person alive today that you would rather have as our head coach.

Waaaaaay to common “sensical” for many here. They thought a name, not hard work, was going to instantly turn around decades of bad decisions and worse management. Pitino absolutely did what he had to do in gutting the house, the renovation doesn’t happen instantly after that. We got good players, not great players, very quickly, to put a representative team on the floor. I, like others, hoped for more but if the team listens to the coaches and commit to covering people, this season is FAR from “over.”
And even more to the salient point, Pitino came here to build the program back up, which begins this year obviously but kicks into high gear next year, primarily with the arrival of the three freshman but also with whatever portal players come with them.

I absolutely love Posh and will always appreciate all he gave to our program. But if you look at his stats this year, they are not much different from last year. Sure he could have helped this team IF he was willing to buy into what was required of him. But the sad fact is he seemed to peak as a Freshman. There is literally no excuse for him to be a senior and shooting 24% from 3 point range, he's gone backwards in that regard.

+100

I like Posh, but he is not all that and a bag of chips.

If you're a really good team, Posh is a dynamo off the bench. Nothing more than that.

There's no way he's not related to Posh.

Actually he's improved in every metric by 10% or more except 3pg, FT and Steals, while l playing about 10% less minutes. Agree on the outside shooting point but he never shot 30% from three in any year so it is who he is.

He’s having a very solid year (not
Great) and his team is winning and the m happy for him. Time to move on. The guy who is really outperforming expectations is David Jones; numbers are very efficient.

Ok well if you're going to compare it that way, look at his sophomore season. His stats were better that year than they are this year.
