Keeping Up With Old Friends Thread

Posh having possibly his best game of the year today versus Cal. Looking at him, he looks to be playing at same weight/shape as last year which would not have been the case if he stayed. Body Far t was one of the NBA negatives for Ponds.

Neither was really encouraged to stay. A mis-step by Rick, in my opinion.
You know what, I am very old school, you want to be encouraged or feel wanted, go see your Mom. The facts are Alexander blew off a workout to go to AC and Storr asked for more NIL than SJU was willing to get him; their decisions, period end of story. Whether they would have helped or not is pure speculation and totally irrelevant but Pitino didn’t come here to change diapers. He came here to win and blowing up a losing culture was step one.

Totally agree with this post. In my case, the fact that they both chose to leave and coach justifiably let them go doesn’t change the fact I hope they play well except when they play against us.

And I very much feel the same way; I have nothing against any of the players that left and wish them the best; but last years team was what it was from coaches on down. If they succeed elsewhere, good for them.

The best - Aaron Wheeler (Patrioti Levice): For many, the duel between Svita and Levice ended surprisingly smoothly and dominantly. The master came in a significantly reduced lineup, but that seemed to give him a kick. Aaron Wheeler was basically an unstoppable figure on the Patriots' staff, who is growing game by game. Under the Tatras, he performed a performance that individually ranks among the best in the current edition of the Niké SBL. With 35 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks, his game utility jumped to number 42, which puts him in a tie for second place in the 2023/2024 season

I always thought that Jones under good coaching could turn it around. Pitino may have been too quick to clean house when it comes to Jones.
Jones plays a wide open game, and not always in a good way. For every great game, he'll have another where he is out of control chucking up shots, turning the ball over and playing ole defense. His undisciplined style would have never worked for Pitino.
