Keeping Up With Old Friends Thread

From an after thought recruit (we already have Justin and Dele, why do we need a no-name big who's really a football player Norm?) to a seriously maddening player to a revelation as a senior (thanks Lav/Dunlap!) to a 14-year pro career.
Amazing.
I'll never forget when he was on a break away and tried to dunk it from the foul line. :D Classic!

Lovett and his Dad were head cases and he never played. Phantom injuries. He was a huge disappointment.
That was true his second year. First year he played 31.6 mpg in 30 games and shot 46%, 38% from three and 80% from the line. It was because of that excellent first year that his second year was such a huge disappointment.

Thank you NC Johnnie. Marcus never felt appreciated here and unfortunately he may not have handled things correctly.
Agree he was a great player. We had chance to have one of best back courts in country. But he quit on the team, kept his scholarship, screwed the fans, and lied about his injuries. If he had played, the whole trajectory of Mullin tenure would have been dramatically different. In my book, he was a huge disappointment.
