Keegan Bradley

He's at the top of leader board week after week. gonna be a major winner on tour.

Awesome to see him and his red shirt at tournaments. I thought the first major may have been luck, but he's proven me wrong. He plays so well when it counts. Its great to St. John's guys achieve success in so many different areas.

Does anyone else think he moves around a lot before his shots? I don't think I've seen someone so active right before taking the shot than Keegan. It's kind of funny, but you can't argue with the results.

Yeah he tends to look nervous with all the moves and the spitting but it's part of his pre shot routine, nothing to really worry about.

But he putts very quickly.

In the running again. Looking at an eagle putt on 12 to get 1 back but it looks like Hunter's tourney.

Bit of Nick Price.
On the leaderboard every Sunday.

He's really young and yet so consistent. Only a matter of time before he picks up some more big ones. Would love to see a SJU guy wearing the green jacket...

Very, very, very, very lucky to be in Augusta this week (through Friday). Did I mention that I'm very lucky to be here !

Watched Keegan on the driving range today. Wasn't on the course to my knowledge.

Wearing my St. John's cap for all to see.

My wife and I will be cheering on our most famous golf alumnus as he looks to win his first green jacket on his first attempt, as you know.

Very hot here today, close to 90 degrees. More reasonable temps starting tomorrow (low to mid 80's).

People here cannot be nicer. TV doesn't do the course justice as you can imagine.

In case you're not aware the secret is to be there when the gates open and briskly walk and put your chair somewhere around a green you want to relax at when you're not walking around. Apparently no one will move it or sit in front of it. Very hospitable crowd. Would love to attend someday but for now just passing on info from friends who have gone.

Lucky You!! Enjoy.. Number 1 on my bucket list, hope to get there someday.

My wife and I followed Keegan today. He was paired with K.T. Kim. Said hello to his aunt, Pat.  His mother, father and sister were also following him.

Pointed to my St. John's hat and he gave me a "thumbs up"

Met 2 guys who went to St. John's, Dave (Class of 1982) and Mike (Class of 1992) who were following Keegan as well. Both guys are from Queens. They gave him a "Let's Go Redmen" shout out, which he acknowledged.

Heard that Keegan originally thought he was headed to The University of Richmond after high school, but for some reason they lost interest which was to the good fortune of St. John's.

Weather here was good today, overcast / partly sunny and in the low 80's.. At the outset it looked like it was going to pour but never did. Forecast is for a 50% chance of thunder storms on Thur. and Fri. Weekend weather is forecast to be excellent. 30% chance of showers tomorrow.

Keegan looked relatively sharp in today's practice round.

Shot -1 today, 2 behind the leader.

This kid amazes me. To step onto the PGA Tour and have the immediate impact he has had is unbelievable.

Looking forward to seeing St. John's red among the final pairings on Sunday.

Followed Keegan for a good part of the day.

Good effort by him.

Glad he went out early, since thunder storms were predicted for the late afternoon (which didn't materialize).

Really looking forward to tomorrow (my last day here). As you probably know, he will Tee-Off late in the day. I think around 1:30pm give or take.

Watched him and Phil in the Par 3 Tournament yst. Keegan's mother was his caddy. A day of great fun for one and all.

Been a fantastic week. People can't be any nicer. I've been here before, but I never forget how lucky I am to be here in the first place.

Can't beat the $1.50 egg salad sandwich, the moon pies or the $1.50 Coca-Cola.

Beer is just $3.00. Most expensive sandwich is BBQ at $3.00.

The pro shop is another story as you can imagine. The ultimate profit center.

That said, you would never know that we are currently in a rough economic environment. People are spending money like it's going out of style (maybe it is!). It's retail heaven. People are buying stuff regardless of the price.

Realize everyone knows this, but I still get a kick out of seeing how many people here wear their college baseball cap.

Certainly not surprising to any of us that UGA, Ga. Tech, UK, UNC, N.C. State, UVa., South Carolina, Clemson, and Florida are fan favorites.

Where you went to college is still a big deal here in The South, as you can imagine.

Think Keegan is expected to make an appearance at The Lou Carnesecca Golf Classic in June.

Yes, yst. I was standing next to a fellow and he saw the hat and started to ask me what happened to the basketball program.

He was about 50 yrs. of age and an alumnus of "The" Ohio State University and was now living in Naples, Florida.

He said, he always remembered St. John's as being on of the game's premier program's but somehow they fell off the map.

I told him about Coach Lavin and his on going effort to restore the program to what it use to be. Told him to be on the look out for The Johnnies in the not too distant future.

To be honest with you, I thought I would have thought more people would have asked about St. John's particularly since I am spending a fair amount of time following Keegan.

Would love nothing more than for him to contend on Sunday so Nantz will mention it non stop. The only thing that could be better would be if Lavs was there following him ;)

If Keegan is in the hunt at the end of Saturday's round, it would be tremendous if there was a representative from the university in attendance.

Maybe Francesa can use his influence with his buddy Jim Nance to get them badges.

If it wasn't Easter weekend I would be staying.

Keegan clearly has major game. The times he hasn't closed seem more attributable to so so decisions than his ability to hit the ball. I've noticed he's gotten in trouble using the belly putter from off the green leaving knee knockers at the worst times. This is stuff that he'll correct sooner than later and with the Masters conditions it might actually be the way to go. He showed true stones coming back from the double on # 1 yesterday. He could be leading right now the way he played the rest of the round. What a talent. With a little fine tuning he could be one of the very best out there for a long long time.

Pardon me, but how could he be leading? Even if the double was a birdie instead he'd still have been a stroke behind. And it's not like it got into his head. He birdied two of the next three holes, just like he birdied the next two after bogeying #1 today. Glad to see your grasp of golf is as strong as your grasp of hoops. ; )

But seriously Keegan is a great grinder with good ball striking ability. That'll keep you in contention more often than not. I like watching him play.

Keegan made the cut and will be paired with Luke Donald tomorrow. Tees off at 9:55 am.

By the way, as luck would have it, I was at the 12th Tee-Box today when Keegan came pretty darn close to a hole in one.

If Keegan can't win it, I sure hope that Freddy can. That would be one heck of a story if he does.
