Keegan Bradley

Pardon me, but how could he be leading? Even if the double was a birdie instead he'd still have been a stroke behind. And it's not like it got into his head. He birdied two of the next three holes, just like he birdied the next two after bogeying #1 today. Glad to see your grasp of golf is as strong as your grasp of hoops. ; )

But seriously Keegan is a great grinder with good ball striking ability. That'll keep you in contention more often than not. I like watching him play.

Wow! One whole stroke behind. What a remarkable mathematical analysis. Ever play the game? Any feel for what a good start can do for you at a place like Augusta? Keegan's clearly got to add a little feel and learn to throttle back at Augusta but he certainly can compete right now.

First, I play to a 16. Not great but not a duffer.

Second, the double at #1 killed his round. You're right. It was so bad he birdied two of the next three. His start was fine but as the course dried out his lack of experience at Augusta didn't help him. Heck, it was his second major ever, he did just fine and he'll continue to do well I'm sure.

Third, thanks for fulfilling my expectations of a response that would get me a laugh.

My only point was that he showed he could play at that level. He had a good round on the dryest day so watch out next year. Johnny Miller always notes that he brings everything in from a mile high and needs to learn to throttle back at times. He reminds me a little of Greg Norman in that respect.
Got a bad back these days but used to be a 12. Epidurals coming this week. Can't wait.

He definitely can play at this level but he's still young and relatively new to the tour. And yes, he did play well yesterday, though in the absence of any pressure. What's it they say? The best thing about Masters Rookies is that they become Masters returnees. ; ) Best of luck to him.

"It's a specific type of player that goes to St. John's, maybe a guy who got overlooked, has a little chip on his shoulder and wants to do well and work hard. It's almost a mentality, living in areas like Queens. It becomes part of you," he said. "People are just hard workers and want to succeed."

Going to be exciting when Keegan Bradley is named to Ryder Cup team. Ryder Cup is at Medinah CC in Chicago and one of the great events to experience. 12 Americans vs. 12 Great Britain / Europe. US team will be strong with Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Hunter Mahan, Matt Kuchar, Bill Haas, Rickie Fowler. Great Britain / Europe will be Rory Mcilroy, Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, Darren Clarke. If you have a chance to attend, by all means do !!

Keegan played great today at Byron Nelson, site of his first win. Made some mistakes but still shot 67 with a neat 31 on back nine.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the Byron Nelson today and got to see Keegan on the 17th, on which he was even. His swing looked smooth and very assured. His drive left the ball well to the right of the pin but he almost pulled off a miracle putt. I hope he does well in the next three days. I had my St. John's hat on and as he left the tee box with Rory Sabbatini and Jason Day, I was tempted to yell "Go St. John's" but chickened out...It was a quiet kind of crowd, not a Bethpage sort of place.

Charles Howell III came into our box after his round (-2) and could not have been any nicer. He chatted with us for 45 mins, posed for pics and signed autographs. Not sure if he was paid an appearance fee or not (probably was) but he was down to earth and affable. Only later did I read on his Wikipedia page that he has over $22MM in lifetime earnings... I know I went wrong somewhere.

Keegan Bradley one shot back going into the weekend. Lot of players in the mix and should be a great shootout.
Ryan Palmer and Jason Dufner, the two players who Keegan beat in playoff's last year, right there !!

Triple bogey on 11.

Just like Faldo said. On one of the easiest holes on the course that he could have parred with three iron- wedge. Strategy-wise, Jack Niclaus he isn't. Too bad. He can really bomb it.

He's young and will learn from these mistake I think. First year on the PGA tour and he's killed it. I think Somme of the strategy stuff will improve significantly over the next year.

I was starting to wonder about Keegan but he managed to make the cut at Olympic with back to back 73s. That's quite an achievement and shows his head is on straight. That course is ridiculous and doesn't really suit his game so kudos to him. Good for his Ryder cup chances. Go redmen!
