very valid possibility, hopefully the three of them, (including Pitino of course), figure it out.Meh
Legit beginning to wonder if him and Smith just can't play together. We've seen it before with other sets of guards.

Just great. Looks like the networks signed off on the “The Moose and Logan Get Off My Lawn” show.very valid possibility, hopefully the three of them, (including Pitino of course), figure it out.
When I met Moose in person years ago he was grumpier than thought, but my wife loves him.Just great. Looks like the networks signed off on the “The Moose and Logan Get Off My Lawn” show.
It will be a laugh riot. I may even end up changing my handle as this will become a fan favorite.
Moose is a good guy. He just became an old cranky fart a bit too early in life. I at least waited until my mid forties. When I met Moose in person years ago he was grumpier than thought, but my wife loves him.
Make Smith the 6th man and have Kadary play forward (if matchup allows) when they are in the game together. We interrupt this Moose lovefest (gack) to note that it is totally unsurprising that a big, slo-mo guard and a small, hyperspeed guard who are both used to being the PG and controlling the ball were ALWAYS going to be an odd couple. Very difficult to make that work unless somebody becomes a SF or a SG.
In fairness they made some progress before Smith got hurt, but I remain of the opinion I have had from the start which is that given the roster on this team I would give the ball to Kadary and bring Smith off the bench to change the pace leading the second unit and to provide instant offense.
It's no shade to Smith, with a different roster I would love to have him as the starting PG. But this just isn't that team.
And Kadary has the size to act like a forwardNot too worried about Smith and Richmond together. Richmond feasts on the types of teams we've been playing lately. He's going to have a tougher time with elite guards of better teams.
Smith's on-ball defense is needed. He creates a ton of chaos on that end. He needs to attack a lot more in secondary transition. If he's 1 on 1 or 1 on 2 with 2 guys backpedaling, I want him taking it to the basket aggressively and I'm sure coach does as well. If it's not there, pull it back and let Richmond do his thing.
Smith is the only guy that can shoot from three off the bounce as well. He's a legit shooter and he doesn't need to dominate the ball.
Yup, plenty of minutes for both. The “who starts” question is secondary to total minutes as well as time and situation chess moves. Of equal importance is recent maturation of our third guard at both ends of court. Sim, only a sophomore, seems to be calmer and headier. He’ll have his lapses of course, but is really getting in nice groove. Not many teams have three interchangeable guards teams have to worry about. We interrupt this Moose lovefest (gack) to note that it is totally unsurprising that a big, slo-mo guard and a small, hyperspeed guard who are both used to being the PG and controlling the ball were ALWAYS going to be an odd couple. He's got the size and strength to act like a center at times. His versatility on defense is just absurd. And Kadary has the size to act like a forward
He has some of the best hands I've ever seen - similar to Artest or OG. I joke at the games that the only 50/50 balls he won't always win are the ones on the floor. He's got the size and strength to act like a center at times. His versatility on defense is just absurd.
He has the best hands on defense that I've seen outside of Ponds. Ponds also had a similar upright defensive style, but didn't have the strength. He has some of the best hands I've ever seen - similar to Artest or OG. So unique & unorthodox. He's got the size and strength to act like a center at times. His versatility on defense is just absurd.
Not sure it's simple as that. I think our fanbases tendency to dump on it's own while NEVER showing ANY patience and giving our players a full half, game, week, month, season to get it right is humiliating.Like all players, he played like he did then and is playing like he is now. No crow to be eaten, just a player playing much better than he was.
I agree about the defense. For any issues that may occur on the offensive side, Smith’s defense will only make this team even scarier. Not too worried about Smith and Richmond together. Richmond feasts on the types of teams we've been playing lately. He's going to have a tougher time with elite guards of better teams.

Well I am, we just disagree. Effort has nothing to do with patience. Not sure it's simple as that. I think our fanbases tendency to dump on it's own while NEVER showing ANY patience and giving our players a full half, game, week, month, season to get it right is humiliating.
Kadary was sh*t on here before the run. Plenty of crow to be eaten. Most of it by the usual culprits.
Yet Lobster, celery and mayonnaise merge together sublimely well on a toasted hot dog bun.Lobster and filet mignon really don't belong together, do they?
