Kadary

Didn't understand why Pitino would sign two points from the portal. We had Scott, Vince and Smith. What we should have used the last spot for was a wing, similar to last year's Alleyne. One who could shoot and defend.
I thought it was odd at the time, but truthfully was completely on board with signing Richmond. Seems hard to pass up if both sides have genuine interest.

Now that the word is out about his foul shooting: he will be a liability
late in the 4th qtr.

" Foul Richmond before he even shoots."

Not a huge fan, Kadary made key plays over 4 minutes or so Saturday to get a win. At this point I could care less about his total stats if he could just value the ball, take D seriously come up big at crunch time w a steal, basic & not high risk assist, key rebound or a little mid range scoring. His spurts would really help if plays heady.
His demeanor can become frustrating, especially when he shoots like Sandy Lyle from Along Came Polly. Rain man!

Weird that Kadary’s shooting gets singled out as percentage wise he’s higher than Luis, Smith, Scott, and Sim and a tenth of a % behind CRP big time shooter Dunlap.

Seems like a fair few of our players have come to St. John’s and become worse shooters. Now I attribute mostly to having to play in the big east, but it’s at least partly due to the coaching not putting the team in positions to succeed. This team has the talent to blow out teams, butler shouldn’t be giving us a game. That being said our athleticism has one the day on more than one occasion and that’s what we will have to rely on as game strategy is not doing us any favors. Shoot more threes 🤦. This team is designed to attack the basket.

Post of the day. Not sure if that day is Monday or Tuesday sine it's 2am but great point nonetheless

Kadary is singled out because when he shoots it from anywhere outside of 5 ft it looks horrendous. At least the others look like they have shot a basketball in the life. Most of Kadary's shots are drives and close range. So imagine if he stopped shooting elsewhere how high that percentage would be. I don't mind RJ, Smith, Scott or Sim shooting from distance. When Kadary does you might as well just hand the other team the ball and get back on D.

I don't mean to pick on him but its a new NIL world and his transfer was much talked about.

Mid range shot has been more than fine.

Respectfully disagree. I've seen him pull up plenty from FT extended and he's tentative, herky jerky and we need to replace the backboard after.

Keep driving. Drive all day. Unfortunately he will get fouled a lot and thats a flip of the coin.
He's unfortunately also missed a good number of bunnies off the front of the rim, just sayin'...

On his mid range pull ups? Hes been hitting those all season.

I'm sure he has hit 'some'. I mean he's shooting 45% and that number includes his putrid 3% and all the layups boosting it back up.

I've tried to wipe the last 2 games from my memory so I don't have specific times. But I've seen enough to know its not isolated.

BTW someone just said he's 24?
