He didn't guard Ashworth. They were all awful. The Co-Captian has bigger spotlight. His D is non existent too.

He couldn’t guard Ashworth.He didn't guard Ashworth.
Re-watch...Ashworth blew by him... more than once in one on one...He didn't guard Ashworth.
It was the offense that held those SHU teams back. That explains some of itKadary was far from our biggest issue today, but one thing I will mention is I am becoming increasingly dumbfounded by how seton hall nearly made the tournament with Kadary as the centerpiece of the team. It makes no sense
That makes sense but I guess I didn’t pay enough attention to seton hall because I never noticed how bad Kadary is at on ball defense. He has some nice moments where he pokes the ball away… but man he is some serious BBQ chicken when on an islandIt was the offense that held those SHU teams back. That explains some of it
I believe you. Shame where it belongs. On Pitino.Re-watch...Ashworth blew by him... more than once in one on one...
Its been mentioned he has patellar tendonitis. Which is a pain in the ass and something that playing through will never resolve. That said its still baffling how he's a different player on the court than what we saw against us the last few years. Optically that is.Any chance Kadary is injured? Sometimes looks like it is painful for him to jog. Outside of his games against us, I was not very familiar with him before this year. That said, knowing the New York type of fan, his lethargic demeanor will not be popular. You can certainly see the talent, but he sure is a head scratcher.
If that’s the case with patellar tendinitis, then why did he even play against Delaware?? It made no sense to play him in that game then. But, he played , so injury is not an excuse. If it was bothering him that much then rest him in a bullshit game. Its been mentioned he has patellar tendonitis. Which is a pain in the ass and something that playing through will never resolve. Not only did he play, but he played 28 minutes. If that’s the case with patellar tendinitis, then why did he even play against Delaware?? It made no sense to play him in that game then. But, he played , so injury is not an excuse. If it was bothering him that much then rest him in a bullshit game.
does he get up and down the court? He's wide open 5 feet from the rim but does not have the strength to get it over the rim. He does not get close on foul shot. when Rick goes to put him back in game I don't why and I think he's to sick to play and he has been since the season begin. I don t see great but he might has not done a thing to help us to win in our 3 loses. Rick should put him in and if he looks like he cares remember he ain't gonna hit a foul shot when it counts.Tell me please he's all big east and its me.Its been mentioned he has patellar tendonitis. He wasn’t. But was supposed to be our best player and is at best our 5th best player on a bubble team. If he came in as an Aaron Scott or someone of that ilk then yes he has been serviceable I guess. As best players go, which he is not obviously, he has been terrible.Man guys, how about everyone else today?
Right now in a game we are getting killed on the glass, KR has 6 D boards while the rest of our guys have 10 combined.
Scott is a good comp to be honest. Even w 2/3 of season left, I have lowered my expectations for KR. I just don’t think for whatever reason he will be a go to player and make big plays at crunch time here. I thought he, Smith, RJ and Zuby would be as good a quartet as there is out there, but now feel the best I can do is hope Kadary is good player down the stretch who has his moments, not the main cog on this team. Hope to be proven wrong. Btw, team chemistry is hard to predict and sometimes we focus on individual play v the sum of the parts. Mase is right about not singling one player out, but I think a guy we expected to be a huge difference maker, but falls short, warrants commentary. He wasn’t. Best comp I can come up with is James Scott. Came in with lot of hype and team struggled and he caught grief. And that was before messages boards. James Scott is a world better than Kadary.
Funny you bring up UConn because their big portal addition, Aidan Mahaney, has been a huge bust: https://www.espn.co.uk/mens-college-basketball/player/stats/_/id/4684628/aidan-mahaneyJust my opinion, but unless getting a no brainer in portal it is probably better to use it to fill in gaps with team you already have. Like what UConn has done.
