Josh Roberts Injury
He is entitled to his opinion just as you are entitled to yours. Who are you to judge who should be allowed to post on this board.
Did you read what he said? Josh Roberts' injury was no big deal because he likes Earlington as a starter. It's one thing to have an opinion, but that was a total dick comment.

It was a dick comment, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.. That said, it’s bad for Roberts, and it’s bad for our depth and Josh’s ability to hit the weights this summer.

Hahahahahahahaha. Dang, its rough around here. Josh roberts wasnt getting big minutes anymore and brings nothing offensively. He was actually benched for earlington towards the end of the season. Roberts was never in the game down the stretch either.

Nothing against roberts but I just dont see this as big deal at all.
Too bad for the young man, but better to rehab it early. He made tremendous strides this year, and with a more rounded cast of players, he should excel even further. Glad to hear he intends to return.
Hopefully he doesn't wait on his surgery unlike Judge on the Yanks.

You have something against every player that isn't name God......oops, I mean the Earlington.

Thats not true. I have actually been very critical regarding the duke on the offensive end the last few games. He needs to pick up the scoring now we are in the post season. He has been off down the stretch here.

And I have been very complimentary of greg williams these last few games. Hes been our best player. He needs to keep being aggressive and score the basketball.

Josh has struggled in conference play because of the constant mismatch problems and being isolated on the perimeter. Also getting muscled in the paint. This offseason is crucial for him to get stronger and be able to hold his own down low as well as work on being a stronger on the perimeter when the switch outs occur.
I may have missed it, but does anyone know the extent of the injury?
It doesn't matter according to the Duke, so why do you care?

Don't want to get involve in the petulant behavior on this website. I asking a legitimate question out of concern.

I agree with Jacfro, the use of the name "Clown" was not called for.

Having said that, on the other hand, a surgery for anyone IS a big deal, believe me.

Guess you didn't see the little icon, I was being sarcastic, we're all concerned about Josh's situation and wishing him a successful recovery. It seems that he'll have a procedure soon, but don't know the extent of it.

Don't know about tremendous strides. I would say Erlington and Williams made tremendous strides. Roberts hardly played.

big men tend to develop more slowly and Roberts was a "project" big man when we signed him. That said his stats from Fr to Soph year improved across the board TREMENDOUSLY.

Games played went from 18 to 29 before getting hurt.
Minutes per game rom 6.2 to 19.
FG % from 44 to 54
FT % from 0 to 44%
REB from 1.6 to 5.8
Blocks from 0.4 to 1.5
PPG from 1.2 to 5.0

Nobody is saying that this kid is a superstar, or that he doesn't have major holes in his game he needs to fill, but c'mon...the kid deserves a ton of credit for major improvement he made from year one to year two. If he makes similar progress in year 3 he's one heck of an asset.
I think the 6’10!kid coming in next year will take alot of robert’s playing time. Im hearing this kid can score.
Could be taking a lot of Earlington's time too if he can score and defend/rebound. Or he might not take anyone's time. Who knows how or if he will fit. Everyone thought Steele would be taking time away from guys and we know that didn't happen.

And while we wouldn’t know it from recent past, most teams run 2, 3 or 4 bigs out there during a game.

No worries. Reason I asked is because I had AC joint and rotator cuff surgery and one was easy recovery and the other not. Hope its not bad, like to see him get some summer work in.

If the surgery was for a fully torn rotator cuff or labrum, the procedure is relatively safe, but the recovery will take months and the physical therapy somewhat painful. If it was only a partial tear, it's a much easier and speedier recovery. I've had both.
