if he goes because he is a diva that thinks he doesnt have to adhere to the same rules as his teamates its ok as well.

Easyy. It is clear there have been problems discipline wise but we don't know everything. I hope he takes care of whatever issues he has and returns to SJU before the season is over.

I am not a Lavin fan any longer but I agree you cannot blame Lavin for this kids character flaws. However, his reputation as a recruiter takes another hit since an unusually large number of his players here have either not qualified, transferred or underperformed. I think some of the issues he has or has had with players he recruited is that, being a lazy recruiter, he never really gets to know his recruits to fully evaluate their potential. The previous Philly recruit that left the program was an example of a player with a checkered past that he saw play only once. I suspect our current Philly recruit will eventually ask for a release before he even steps foot on campus.
Of course the bricks in the wall started falling in 2013 when Lavin allowed Jakarr Sampson to be a cancer to the team. Rather than limit his minutes he allowed him to play ad hoc. Rysheed was already a developing problem child as we know with the Felix Balamou reactivation and the spin (lies) by Lavin to cover up a serious issue with Jordan.
Now we are being fed more spin about family and personal issues. Spin about a stomach virus that lands Rysheed in Philadelphia 12 hours after playing on a Friday night. So many spins at this point that the media and fans are dizzy. So many spins that some influential fans have gotten into the ear of president Bobby.
My take is that only a recruiting miracle would have saved Lavin's job and those odds greatly diminished when none of our long term targets committed. Without Jordan this team may barely be .500 in the conference. Even with an NCAA team I thought Lavin would have a tough job keeping his job after the 2013 recruiting failure coupled with the Adonis and Thomas fiascos. This current situation may be the nail in the coffin.
As someone mentioned earlier do not be surprised to see walk on Henderson activated. Grasping at straws has become an expected reaction by Steve Lavin.
I got to play in a full court pickup game at Alumni Hall against Michael Porter on one of the last days he was on campus. He had a stupifying vertical leap. Didn't seem human. For my efforts to guard him he gave me a hard elbow to the nose... What a waste that we didn't get to see him put it all together.
