Woody never worked for a living. He never built anything professionally. Therefore, he is unqualified to build a winning culture. Not a knock, an objective fact.

The one time he was placed as CEO into a Johnson company, the company was called before Congress and ordered to pay an undisclosed fine. He was buying debt to offset his J&J dividend income.

You would think an heir to J&J might get into Princeton, Columbia, NYU, etc...nope...Woody was doing bhong hits at University of Arizona.

Steinbrenner [Yankees] was a ship builder; Zygi Wilf [Vikings] real estate, Robert Kraft, Arthur Blank, even Jerry Jones...self made, successful men who built companies and empires.
 
I saw a lot of fans bummed out DJ Reed signed elsewhere. Hard disagree from me. Thought he sucked last season and was clearly past his prime. Better to cut ties now. If I got a penny every time he interfered with the receiver when he didn't need to, I'd be a rich man. He was great his first year here but that was kind of it. Nice to see Reddick, Lazard, and some other terrible Joe Douglas moves get their lockers cleared out.

Overall, I think the Fields move is good. We need to turn the page on the previous regime. Last season was a goddamn disgrace, even for the jets standards. We probably aren't winning more than 6-7 games next year, but if we can build a new culture under Glenn, and become a better coached team, I will be happy. Better to do that with someone like Fields than to invest in another probable bust rookie QB.

Next season I will be mostly just keeping an eye on the guys were are supposed to pay soon. Sauce Gardner was awful to watch last year. He needs to toughen the hell up if he wants a big contract. Breece is another one who needs to show me a little more. I hope one of my fav Jets, Jermaine Johnson, can come back and be productive after that nasty injury, and hope Will McDonald can build on being like the only bright spot of last year.
 
I wanted the Jets to sign Fields. There weren’t many other options that made sense. Fields isn’t going to be a star but I think he can turn into a middle of the pack QB and he can run. Makes Garrett happy.

We can consider getting a QB later in the draft if there is value.
