Jamal Branch to STJ

I'd also like to see a quick 5'10" shooter on the end of the bench instead of a walkon. Might be one in the area who'd be happy with a backup role. They all can't start but we need to add threes to the mix.

Don't want a 5'10 shooter. I wouldnt mind having a legit 6-4 to 6-6 type shooter that we have seen on mid majors forever as our last and final scholarship player.

Any updates on the kid from Xaverian? Havne't heard his name mentioned in a while. What's he 6'2"-6'3"?

Brian Bernardi.
Committed to future conference foe SMU.

Will be poorly coached, constantly harangued.

Just a quick note -- Branch and Harrison are from different parts of the state.

Arlington is outside of Dallas and Harrison is from outside of Houston. The difference in distance is about five hours.

Just read this so I am not sure if it was answered. Harrison and Branch are actually both from the Houston metro area and have played each other in AAU competition. Harrison is from west Houston and Branch is from NE Houston. Those that have been to Houston know that it is a huge metro area like NYC. Branch played 3 years in the Houston area in high school and only transferred to Grace Prep in Arlington for his senior year.

I was wondering, I know jamal will practice with the team, but is he allowed on the bench, and traveling with the team?

Under school choice it says A@m.
Click on other choices-impressive list.

I am pretty sure redshirts are allowed to do everything with the team but dress for and appear in games. So I believe he can travel and be on the bench, just not in uniform.

Both Branch and Harrison wear #11. Who wears it next year ?? Branch wore the number in high school. Time to start fresh with a new number?

I like his enthusiasm. Will be great to have him aboard. Our new PG.

I get the feeling we will be seeing a few transfers in this year and next. I think adding transfers is an incredible way to add great talent with less competition from other schools. I think that was one of Norm's biggest mistakes. Oklahoma State built a Final Four team almost entirely off transfers not long ago with guys like Lucas from Baylor and the Graham brothers from UCF.

A lot of these transfers come in with huge chips on their shoulders, to better situations, and highly motivated.

Kid has yet to play a minute but I feel like he has been in the family forever.
Can't wait for the day he is cleared to play.
