It’s not over

This thread reminded me of the great poster SS&G

"This is not the end.
This is not even the beginning of the end.
But it is the end of the beginning"
Winston Churchill

Also:
"Never, ever, ever give up"
Winston Churchill

Thank you 24-25 Johnnies.

To all our new fans, and even more to our loyal diehards, thank you as well. It's been quite a ride.

The full quote:
Winston Churchill famously said, "Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense". He said this in a speech at Harrow School on October 29, 1941.

I actually agree with you. I don’t think we should expect the same results. I also think next year will be less enjoyable because expectations will be higher.

But I do think we will have more talent
I think we will have more talent potentially IF Luis comes back to us and not the pro game.
To expect we can lose Scott, Smith, and Luis, replace their skills and cohesion, and do better than winning the Conference, the Tournament, and advance further in the NCAAs may be optimistic.
If he returns, then I think it is very likely we have a terrific year

I love RJ and hope he returns. We don’t accomplish we accomplished as a team without him. As far as today is concerned, he was a black hole when he had the ball. Driving into the lane with three opposing players there waiting for him. Forcing shot after shot. At one point Zuby looked like he was yelling at him to move the ball. It looked like that was the hand gesture Zuby was making. Coach Pitino must have been telling him also and he just wasn’t doing it and he wasn’t making shots. RJ played extremely selfishly today. There is no “I” in team. A hall of fame coach is not going to put up with not being listened to. He’s not going to put a star player ahead of the team. Especially when he is still in the process of creating and building a culture here. Now, the fact that it was the biggest game of the year in a one and done tournament and that should have warranted a different approach. That’s up for debate and we will have posters who fall on both sides of the fence. Pitino is our coach though. It is his program now. He’s a hall of fame coach and he’s going to run it his way. Regardless of where you fall on this issue , you can’t argue with the results. Pitino had enough of what he was seeing and obviously thought that addressing the situation the way he did was the right thing for the game, the team , the program and for the what he is trying to build here. I have to just trust coach here.
Great post, but Kranmars is calling paragraphs on you. ;)

Agree. I think he's coming back. (No sources)

I am also fairly confident in saying we aren't winning regular season title and BET. Doing both is an impossible expectation every year.
