Isaiah Whitehead, SG (Seton Hall verbal)

Kentucky annoys me. Every single top five or ten list players put out they always seem to be there even if they don't offer

Well look at that. No mention to mention.

Welcome to the world of recruiting everyone. Lets not overreact.

Seems like to me, Cuse is the school to beat. He mentioned they were his favorite in the past and they are still up there. Don't see the love for us. That's too bad because he's a damn good player. Saw him over the weekend at the BOB, he was doing damage.

Maybe we can get back in it.

said Whitehead, who is being heavily recruited by Florida, Arizona, St. John’s, Iowa State and Rutgers among others.

He could be heavily recruited by CW Post too. When he rattles off a top 5 and we aren't on there it's somewhat disappointing. We seem to be under the radar with him.

But there is time to re-emerge in his recruiting I think.

What I find funny is that Cuse wasn't mentioned once in that article. Can't have it both ways. We are still very much in it. As is Cuse. We just can't overreact to being mentioned and not.

I don't get the sense that Syracuse is even hot after him. He seems to want them more than they want him.

I'm a little frustrated because when Lavin was out last season he made a point to see Whitehead play a few times, yet we still seem to be in his 2nd tier of schools.

I sense the same when it comes to Kentucky and Whitehead. I sense UK is keeping him in their back pocket for "just in case."

We don't know how much Cuse is recruiting him.
And some kids just have that dream school that they're in love with.

Our advantage is access because he's local. I'm sure the staff will turn it up over the course of the season especially with D'Angelo's situation and our potential hole at SG in '14.

Don't forget, Syracuse just got a commit from top 20 PG Tyler Ennis 3 days ago. I think Cuse got the Guard they wanted in Ennis. We may end up thanking Syracuse and Mr. Ennis in the long run if we do end up jumping back into that race. Our best bet is Whitehead waiting for the spring to see what SJU does is season and possibly D'Lo moving on.

@NYPost_Brazille: Source told me yesterday Isaiah Whitehead to Syracuse isn't the sure thing many believe it to be. Food for thought.

@NYPost_Brazille: I can see St. John's putting on full court press for Whitehead, but we'll see. He did say he's attending tonight's game.

Whitehead will be in attendance for tonight's game against Concordia.

Things can be wacky in recruiting. Interesting, indeed.

@NYPost_Brazille: Lincoln's Isaiah Whitehead has a final 9 of Kentucky, Sju, Rutgers, Syracuse, Kansas, Florida, ucla, Arizona and Marland, per a source.

He was just in love with Cuse

I still have a hunch it'll come down to 'Cuse and Kentucky. Time will tell. Sometimes, you never know how this stuff will play out.
