Is Obekpa Next? No! He's staying!

Jordan will not leave, if he does he is crazy.
The nba is all he cares about.

He will probably average 25 a game next year, and with this McDonald's AA game being the weakest I've watched in years, he is a guaranteed lottery pick with his size and skill. We will win 10-12 games next year, but RJ will enjoy every minute of it scoring 25 a night and locking himself in as a first round pick.

Greene is someone I could see leaving. It is important to note that obekpa was his roommate and his best friend on the team, and his girlfriend transferred from St. John's earlier this year as well, so it seems like he might be on his way to following suit. Of the two being rumored, I could definitely see Greene leaving but RJ going would flat out shock me.

Can we please stop spreading rumors that Greene and Jordan are leaving? Until they actually announce it, these are nothing more than rumors. I'll believe when, and if, it officially happens.

The same thing was said about Sampson and CO,, people will believe it when it officially happens.

Got dizzy going through this thread when trying to determine if Obekpa is gone. It's on the CBS sports website, so I guess it's common knowledge. Either Lavin is a disaster (don't believe it) or he had an amazing ability to recruit multiple players with delusions of grandeur or with horrible attitudes. Either way, not a good job by the coach. Never saw anything like this here, or maybe any program.

Yes it was. I'm sure he got the info from here as well.
 
Obviously Joey's a big body but he didn't get any minutes at FIIU so how productive will he be in the BE? Time will tell. Also I'm assuming he only has one year left, correct?

Obekpa and Sampson leaving were just rumors too. At Least there were no Hooper rumors.

Yes, and those rumors stopped being rumors when they both announced their intentions. Greene and Jordan haven't said anything and until they do, it's disingenuous to spread rumors or chats about them leaving.

Who knows, but told he has 1.5 seasons left. He told me that himself, but call the office, although doubt anyone is there.

Agree that nobody has to believe anything that's said here. Boy do I believe that here! Message boards for fans are a place to vent, discuss "what ifs", comment on games and players and coaches. They should not be a forum to spread and reinforce rumors. Rumors can cause damage, whether they are amongst friends, at work, or on a message board. Just mho.

Actually, there are a handful of message boards (that I've ventured upon) that will squash rumors (ie, threads and posts will be deleted). The reason why those boards do it is because they feel the same as Tony.

That is why I won't mention some things I've heard. Certain rumors can be discussed (ie, where you heard a player may commit; a player leaving for the NBA). But there are some rumors that should be left where it was heard. Rumors can be juicy, and people wanna spread 'em at all cost.
 
When Joe3 loses access to redmen.com, he gets bored. When he gets bored, he looks for friends. When he looks for friends, he stalks SJU basketball team. When he stalks SJU basketball team, he takes uncomfortable looking selfies with them. When he takes uncomfortable looking selfies, they want to transfer. When they transfer, we win 10 games.

I'm with you. Not everything goes. But I think if you heard that a player is transferring, that's pretty standard. Rumors or comments about people's personal lives, or issues that could get somebody fired if they got out - those things should be kept under wraps. And I know there are plenty of posters who don't relay everything they hear.
Also, fwiw, I haven't heard anything about Greene or Jordan besides what the kid on twitter posted. So imo there really isn't legs to this.
But if somebody thinks there is, I don't have a problem with them mentioning it here. This is the place for it, no?
 
Extremely frustrating. We should be talking excitedly about next season and, instead, are looking simply to get past next year and into the next round of recruiting with the prospect of not sniffing the tournament for another 3-4 years...as much as I love this team, it will feel like the Norm years
