How long have you been posting or watching this site ?

Discovered redmen.com in 2000 when Omar Cook, Willie Shaw & company were freshman and have enjoyed reading it since that time, especially for the recruiting insights. Didn't start posting until after I retired in April 2017.
Although not a Johnnie alumnus, I grew up in Queens and have been a Johnnie fan forever as my Dad had season tickets for a good part of my teenage years (1965-1966 through 1970-1971 seasons) . It's one of first things I look at in the morning now that I don't have to worry about work emails. Just a great site and great group of fans!

Perhaps someone should print a few thousand business sized cards to distribute before games with our schedule on it directing students and fans to redmen.com?
I know Mike Zaun and Jack Williams would gladly distribute.:p[/quote]

Jack Williams. ......... this how you can make your bones on redmen.com. let's get this to all dorm students and post on all bulletin boards on campus. Hand them out at ganes. Mike Zaun, We know you can improvise.
All hands on deck!

I don’t post as frequently anymore, but still visit this site daily. I found the site my freshman year 03-04 while frustrated with the Red Storm name and curious to see if there were some legacy Redmen site. Sure enough there was and is!

I got to meet a lot of posters a few years later in section 116 at the Garden from 09-2012 before the restructuring. I was the loud big guy in the Mullin Jersey.

Thank you Paul for the endless hours of enjoyment.

Paul, thanks for all your efforts in providing us with this site and your efforts to innovate and maintain our forum.

On the eve of this new basketball season, it's a great time to hit the $ button above and contribute to support Redmen.com and help defray some of the overhead.

Thanks again Paul. Please continue your great work.

Had the opportunity to meet Northshore and his wife in Florida before he passed. Also remember CRGreen who had followed Lavin from UCLA and knew his strengths and weaknesses as a coach in great detail. Think he passed while Lavin was still here.

I started lurking after membership was stopped and definitely before membership was started back up. I don’t remember exactly when but I’m guessing it was right after the Jarvis debacle. I signed up right after membership opened.

I know you’ve all been really worried about me, but now that the season is starting I usually post more. I know I’ve said this a few times, but the multi-quote function is a real bummer and makes it incredibly hard to follow almost any thread. I don’t know if I can get rid of that function on my own but I’d gladly donate $ if that multi-quote went vamoose.

I appreciate that and am aware of the issue but it is one that would require a major overhaul to resolve. Rather than hijacking this thread, let's take the issue to private messages or the appropriate forum. I am always happy for feedback and genuinely appreciate it.

Going through this thread definitely makes me feel in the minority as a new member of the site. I don't want to make anyone seem old, but some of you have been members for longer than I have been alive. I began going to games with my dad as a kid at the end of the Norm years and during the Lavin years. I think I really became a die-hard around Lavin's final year, and haven't been able to get enough St. John's basketball since then (even through some very lean years). I began actively following the "sjubb" hashtag on Twitter for news and discussion, which eventually led me to this site. I began reading off-and-on about a year ago, but when I started my freshman year at St. John's this September I decided to officially make an account. Although I still don't post regularly, I do log on multiple times a day and love reading everyone's takes. I wanted to thank everyone for the information and entertainment that you all provide, and I am looking forward to a successful season!

Before my, and others, time. My favorite place off campus was always the Sly Fox Inn. While I and many others were students at St. John's we didn't even have to venture off campus to drink gallons of beer. How many remember the Ratskeller?

I should have definitely mentioned Gantrys since Sly Fox became my go to place after graduation. Spent every weekend in that place and stumbled back with my roomie to our apartment down the block from Alumni Hall.

Used to shoot pool in the Rat between last class and game on weekdays.

It’s now open 24 hours a day!

I started posting on this site when I was in high school about 16 years ago. Fast forward to last night my wife gave birth to our first child. While in early labor she looked over mid-contraction and asked if the opener was that night. Never been so in love (until our baby girl was delivered a few hours later).

Best part is they get YES network here in the room for the very reasonable price or $7 per day!

First I just wanna say congrats to sirvoo, that is awesome!

I started posting here I think right after lavins first year when he was signing all those recruits like Dlo, Harkless, etc.

I was in 7th grade at the time. I just turned 21 on the 21st of October. Went to the jets game with my friends. got a couple beers legally. Watched the jets get destroyed. Was still a great time.

I was legit obsessed with this site when I was in high school. I don’t lurk or post nearly as much as I used to. I hope to be more involved this season. Miss debating with everyone. I hope to meet some of you at the games this year. I can’t even go tonight because I have class but I’m going to get to as many as I can this season.
